After saying goodnight, I’d taken the long way home. The walk in the chilled spring air was welcome as I worked through my feelings for Harmony.
“Hi. I thought you might like some lemonade.”
She smiled and my heart clenched in my chest. She was getting under my skin way too fast, and if I didn’t get some semblance of control over myself, she was going to gain the upper hand, and that wouldn’t be good for anyone.
“I would. Thank you. You seem to have gotten a lot of attention as you walked over here. Are you looking for more attention, little girl?” I was reaching up to accept the glass from her when a blush appeared on her chest, quickly spreading up her neck and across her cheeks.
“Maybe it’s my bathing suit. Do you like it?”
She took a step back and turned in a circle, giving me a three-hundred-and-sixty-degree view of her body. My cock stirred and I relaxed back in my chair. Was she trying to make me jealous? If she was, I was about to play right into her hand.
“You look amazing. You and I both know it, as does every other person sitting on this pool deck. I think you should change.”
Her eyes narrowed at me. “Is that right?”
All eyes around the pool were on us. News had traveled fast through the school about Harmony’s first day, and I was sure the looky-loos were waiting for her to become unhinged and lose her shit again.
“Well, too bad, Gray. You don’t get a say in what I wear.”
“It’s Mister Remington to you, young lady. But you’re right, I don’t have any say, yet.”
“Yet? What’s that supposed to mean?”
“You know what it means. You’re teasing me. You have been since New York, and instead of approaching things maturely, you feel the need to flaunt around almost naked to get my attention. Well congratulations, you’ve got it.”
“How dare you? You know nothing about me, Mr. Gray Remington!” She was shouting, and before I could ask her to calm down and invite her to talk privately, she tossed the lemonade in my face.
I was well aware of the collective hush from the witnesses around the pool. I calmly stood up and took the other glass from her hand, placing it on the table by my lounger.
“It’s time for a lesson. You can either follow me inside, or I will toss you over my shoulder and carry you there, your choice.” I growled low enough for only her to hear.
Harmony shifted her attention to everyone watching us, her expression transforming from arrogance to anxiousness in a nanosecond. I saw the acceptance as her eyes returned to me.
“Let’s go, naughty girl.”
Harmony dropped her gaze and set off for the entrance to the college. But I had no intention of taking her to her dorm, or my classroom. Our discussion would be in private and in my apartment, away from prying eyes and ears. I wanted her to myself, because even though we had both only been here for about a week, it was time to take the little brat in hand and make her mine once and for all.
Chapter 8
Harmony
Would he spank me again? Since my punishment, several days ago, I had replayed the scene too many times to count. The spanking was painful, more than what he’d done in his office in New York. But the stern, loving expression Gray wore when he’d tipped me over his desk made it worth the sore, swollen ass I’d spent the rest of the day nursing.
The fact he’d felt it necessary to remind me of his title had me feeling Gray was about to teach me a painful lesson about who was in charge and controlling my outbursts. I couldn’t deny the fact that I was excited to have his attention back. I’d been beginning to think my earlier encounter with Gray was a fluke and that I had made it out to be more than it was in my head. I had been so good it was almost painful, but that had only proved to make me invisible to him. Or so it seemed. When I’d heard about this party, I’d chatted with Jillian, Priscilla, Savannah, and Samantha, and we’d come up with a foolproof plan for me to get his attention. It started with the bathing suit and ended with me doing whatever I needed in order to end up over his knee. It had been easier than I thought since he decided to get all growly and possessive. He didn’t get to act like that unless he was going to do something about it.
The plan had worked perfectly, except now that I actually had to pay the piper, I was rethinking all of my life choices. Memories of the spanking I got before flashed in my mind, and even though it had been a week ago, I could almost still feel the sting each swat had left in its wake.
I took a few deep breaths as I followed Gray. I didn’t know where we were going, but I didn’t care to ask. The longer it took to get there, the longer it would be before he lit my ass on fire. Maybe we could just walk all the way back to New York? He’d forget all about this stupid plan by the time we got there. Only, when I peeked at where we were going, I saw a building. It was the same one Jacob lived in, and my stomach dropped to my toes. Was Gray taking me to his personal apartment? This was a plot twist I had not seen coming.

Harmony kept her head bent, eyes on the ground as we walked to the residential apartments. But she wasn’t fooling me, because I knew hiding inside her penitent posture was a spoiled brat who had pushed this Daddy too far.
Despite the seriousness of the situation, or maybe because of it, the march with her dressed in nothing but a string bikini was a struggle for me in more ways than one. Harmony was gorgeous in that high-class, prom queen sort of way, which also fit with her entitled, spoiled attitude. She caught everyone’s attention, with way more flesh on display than I was comfortable with. She had a point when she said I didn’t have the right to tell her what to wear. That realization had struck a chord, and I was now determined to remedy that situation. Harmony was mine, I just needed her to realize it.
