“Thank you.” She sighed happily as he dried her off.

When she crawled into bed naked and satiated, her mind was fully at rest.

CHAPTER FOUR

Piper woke up the next morning in a panic. Master Derek had said he wanted her lines “first thing in the morning,” but what did that mean? What time did he consider first thing? Jumping out of the warm comfort of the bed, she ran and did her business before taking a quick shower. She parted her hair in pigtails and braided it because it was the easiest way to deal with her unruly mass of red curls, and got into her outfit for the day, complete with mismatched socks. Of course no one could actually see the socks under her overall jeans. After a quick check in the mirror, she grabbed her lines and ran out the door.

It was quiet in the halls and lobby with only a few people around. She stood turning in a circle, really unsure of where she was supposed to go. Tears of panic welled in her eyes. She was going to be late and he was going to get mad and there was nothing she could do about it.

“Is everything okay?” A woman came up to her. She had colorful hair and lots of piercings and if Piper hadn’t been so anxious about being late to meet Master Derek, she would have stopped to appreciate the other woman’s unique beauty.

“I… not really. I’m supposed to meet with Master Derek first thing this morning he said and I don’t really know what time he meant and I’m worried I’m late.” Her heart pounded and she could feel her breathing getting out of control.

“I’m Luna and I work here, so I can help. Why don’t you breathe with me, sweetie?”

Piper was glad for the help even if this person was a complete stranger. She was so out of her comfort zone that she leaned into her kindness. Luna took some slow deep breaths and Piper mimicked her until she felt her heart rate return to normal.

“There we go.” Luna smiled. “Feel a little better?”

Piper nodded. “Yes, Thank you. Sorry I’m a little out of my element here.”

“That’s okay. It happens to the best of us. You said something about meeting with Master Derek?”

Piper nodded again. Luna looked behind her at a giant clock on the wall.

“It’s only five a.m.,” she told her.

“I know but he said first thing in the morning, and I didn’t want to be late. I don’t want to get in more trouble. I’m not a brat,” Piper explained as she vehemently shook her head.

“I understand. He usually comes in at seven unless he has a set meeting. I’ll give him a call and ask him what he would like you to do, okay? Can you tell me your name?”

Piper nodded and hugged the papers filled with her lines to her chest not thinking about the fact that she was wrinkling them all up. “Yes, sorry. My name is Piper. Piper Webb.”

She also didn’t think about the fact that if Master Derek didn’t usually come in until seven that might mean he was still sleeping until it was too late.

Luna was standing at the front desk speaking quietly into the phone. When she hung up and returned to Piper, Piper's stomach twisted making her feel like she might get sick.

“Did you wake him up? I could have just waited. I don’t really have anything else to do. I can be patient.” Patience actually wasn’t one of her strongest virtues, but she would rather be patient than put someone else out.

“No worries, he was already getting up for the day. He said he’ll be here as soon as he can. Master Derek’s office is that big door over there. Want to take a seat in one of those chairs and wait?” Luna pointed to the other side of the lobby.

Piper nodded. “Thank you. Sorry to keep you from anything important.”

“You didn’t. It’s pretty quiet around here at this time of the morning and it can get pretty lonely and boring. It was nice to meet you, Piper.”

“Nice to meet you too.” Piper scurried over to the door. On one side there was a large comfortable looking seating area, but next to Master Derek’s door was a long wooden bench. That was probably where she needed to wait since she was in trouble. She should have never lied to Master Derek in the first place. Who was she to think she could pull one over on a man who dealt with naughty Littles for a living? Ridiculous and impulsive, that's what it was.

Without much to occupy her, she watched the clock tick slowly as she waited for Master Derek.

“I think clocks move slower when you watch them.” A brunette plopped down in the seat next to her. Piper instantly recognized her as one of the green-milk girls.

“Hi, I’m Sadie. Master Derek is my Daddy.” She put her hand out to Piper.

Accepting the handshake she replied, “Piper.”

“It’s nice to meet you, Piper. When I heard Daddy talking to Luna, I wanted to hurry over here before he was ready so I could tell you thank you.”

“What did I do?” Piper asked, a little confused.
