I’d considered taking a picture of her while her mouth was around my cock and sending it to Fiori and Romeo, but I can’t stand the idea of anyone seeing her luscious naked body, which brings me back to the unsettled protective feelings I’m having about her. She’s a pawn. She’s my key to ruining her father and the Abates until the time comes to eliminate them from this earth.

I shake off thoughts of Elena and focus on the matter at hand—Fiori and Abate’s humiliation and eventual deaths.

My phone buzzes. It’s the one that only Donovan has the number to. The one that I’ll dispose of and replace with another before the week is through. A precaution recommended by Liam to prevent prying eyes—or I suppose, ears—of law enforcement.

"What have you got?"

"Abate and Fiori are sniffing around, getting bolder,” he says. "They’ve sent goons on little field trips past your places. "

"Stupid." I scoff. "They think they're hunters, but they’re my prey."

“Mostly, they seem to be scouting. They’ve got at least two men watching the penthouse. Want us to take care of them?”

I briefly consider having Donovan and a few men take Fiori’s men out and put their lifeless bodies on Fiori’s doorstep. “Give them a message, but make sure they get back to Fiori to tell him and Abate that they can’t sneak up on me.”

“Got it.”

“Actually, when you’re done, meet me at the office,” I say referring to the pizza restaurant that acts as our office.

“An hour?”

“See you then.” I hang up and leave my home office. “I’m heading out,” I say to my butler.

“Yes, sir. Do you need anything while you’re gone?”

“Just make sure the woman doesn’t do anything stupid. I need her alive.”

“Yes, sir.”

I remember her asking if I’m going to kill her. Not now, I'd told her. God, what a waste it would be to have to kill her. I hope I don’t have to. Inwardly, I kick myself for such a thought. This woman has gotten under my skin, and I don’t like it.

My driver takes me through the busy streets to the pizzeria. I walk in, and the regulars greet me. Others are tourists who are preoccupied with having New York Pizza. I make my way back and down to the office.

My men straighten as I walk in. “We didn’t expect you,” one says. Good. I like keeping them on their toes.

“Donovan will be here shortly.” I inspect their work, trying to keep it relaxed and cool, while I make sure they’re not trying to skim off me.

Thirty minutes later, Donovan enters with a large slice of pizza in one hand and a beer bottle in the other. “Nothing like pizza after kicking someone’s ass.”

“I take it Fiori and Abate’s men made it home safe.”

“Safe, although maybe not sound.”

Good.

“So, what’s the plan?” Donovan sits on the couch and takes a long swig of his beer.

“We’re going to burn them all down. But first, we’ll make them swim in humiliation.”

“The woman?”

My gut clenches at Donovan’s mentioning Elena. I don’t like his tone, even though he’s right to think she’s the key to furthering Fiori and Abate’s downfall.

I nod.

“Fiori and Abate, RomeoandTiberius, will want her back, or at least retribution,” Donovan reminds me. “I know you know that, but?—”

“I do know that. They’ll have more than a few goons out next time. That’s why I want to fortify. I don’t want a shadow to get past anyone into my places.”
