“So what? We have a company that we built ourselves. What have you done? Oh wait, I know. Went to school forever,” Maby’s twin chimed in from across the table. They looked exactly alike, even down to the gray T-shirts and ponytails.

“Stop fighting, girls. Let Violet finish,” Sera said from beside Harrison as she dished up a small plate of food for Violet. All the women fell silent, though they continued to make faces at each other that he was sure Sera saw but ignored.

“Lucy Maud works with Harper and Maby’s twin, but they do not look alike, so you won’t mix them up.” Violet then whispered, “A hint is that Lucy has a scar.”

“Right here.” The twin in question held up her arm and pointed to something on it. “Maby stabbed me when we were twelve.”

“That is not true. You crashed our bikes together when we were twelve.” Her twin argued.

“You said your bike was stronger than mine. I think I won that battle.”

“You said you could ride your bike off the roof of the garage, and you landed on my bike. I wasn’t even home!” Maby argued.

“Off the garage?!” Sera repeated from behind him. This was obviously something she hadn’t known before.

“No big deal. I was there, and we all survived,” the redhead said from across the table, not even looking up from her food.

“Says the one who almost killed us all.” The dark-haired one pointed to her.

“One small kitchen fire does not kill everyone,” Bea said, finally looking up.

“What were you doing anyway? It was three in the morning!” Harper asked in curiosity, but it seemed everyone knew the story already.

“I was making soup.” She shrugged.

“How did your bra end up on a burner?”

“It was my sweatshirt and bra. I had some help making soup.” She wrinkled her nose.

“And why didn’t you smell the smoke?”

At the question, the redhead grinned at everyone. “Because Greg Nichols can give one hell of an orgasm.”

Half the room groaned at the revelation. It seemed they all knew the guy. Harrison now knew exactly why Emma had talked about sex so easily.

“Greg Nichols?! You said you never had sex with him!” Lucy nearly stood up as she threw her fork on her plate and glared at her sister.

“I didn’t. There was a small fire that got in the way.” Buzz waved at the stove.

“To everyone adding him to your list, he is not good at giving orgasms. Not good at all,” Lucy said, stabbing at her lasagna.

“What ever happened to him?” Harper asked.

“Moved away senior year. I haven’t heard anything about him since,” Maby answered.

“Now I see why the orgasm was so good. You were twelve.” Lucy pointed to the redhead.

“Fifteen, thank you very much,” Buzz scoffed.

Harrison looked over at Sera; it was something most mothers would have a reaction to. But she just kept dishing up the lasagna as if the girls were talking about the weather, which either meant she didn’t care to much, or that it was nothing she didn’t already know. He was sure she already knew the information.

“We’re all sticking with twelve,” the dark-haired one said with a smirk.

Amid her sister’s laughter, Violet resumed her introductions. “Agatha is next, and she is an artist. She watches me after school every day.” The dark-haired one waved, and his daughter rested her head against his shoulder as she talked. This was clearly her favorite sister.

“Violet is an artist too,” Agatha said, a fact that he had forgotten from their coffee date. His mom was going to be excited to have a granddaughter who is artistic. Well, the woman was going to be ecstatic to have two granddaughters any way she could get them, but it seemed like she was going to be getting seven.

“Buzzy is the baby, but you have to call her Bea.” Violet pointed at the redhead, who pushed her plate away from her and turned her full attention to him.
