“Honey, if you stay there, you will have a bed, just not a room anymore. You will have a wonderful room at the new house. Remember you were painting it light blue? And Buzzy needs a room.” Sera took the little girl’s hand.

At Jonas’s confused expression, Harrison explained, “Buzz sleeps on the couch or in an empty bed. The house is one room short. But now that we’re getting a house, the kids will have rooms with us. It seems that the two sisters who are married are having a hard time letting go of their rooms.”

“You’re not moving in with her and all the girls?” Jonas teased.

“I don’t want to live with six adult women. Well, four now, since Harper and Maby have moved out recently.” Harrison grinned at his wife.

“That would be living the dream, like the playboy mansion. Do they walk around naked ever?” He laughed at the image.

“Almost never,” the teen said, deadpan.

“Sometimes?” He looked at her. He might like her better than the little one, after all. Who couldn’t love this kid with her dry sense of humor? So far, she hadn’t smiled once, but her eyes said she knew she was funny.

“Three admitted to kitchen sex this morning. One was missing, and that one didn’t answer the question.” She pointed at her mom.

All eyes turned to the one who didn’t answer the question. “Still not answering.”

“That’s a yes,” deadpan teen answered for her.

“Emmaline Rose, stop.”

“So, I’m interested in Buzz and how she can’t have a bedroom. Why doesn’t she get one?” Jonas asked the teen.

“She was the last one to move back. When she was living with that guy, Harper came home from France and took her room. Harper and Maby have moved out and still won’t give up their rooms, so she doesn’t get a room.” Emma shrugged as if to say that was just how it worked.

“Where are her things?” He had no idea why he cared.

“There’s a closet in the hallway,” Sera said, giving her daughter more berries.

“Why doesn’t she just move out and find her own place?” Jonas asked.

“What would she want to move out for?” Sera asked, her face showed confusion at his question.

“Because she’s slept on the couch for two years,” Jonas stated the obvious. Maybe Sera was confused because she hadn’t been the one on the couch.

“Very rarely, Jonas. She only sleeps on the couch when everyone is home. That rarely happens,” Emma stated. “And now she gets Mom’s room when she and Harry get married.”

“But she hasn’t had sex in there yet. Just Maby,” Violet added, which only confused Jonas more.

“Have you two ever thought about not talking about sex around the children?”

“Nope,” said the teen to her phone.

“Are you ready for the meeting tonight?” Harrison changed the subject.

Six hours later, he was still thinking about the redhead in his bed and all the sex Harrison’s stepdaughters were getting. Even though he wouldn’t touch them, they sounded like great fun. He hoped that by the time the wedding happened, he would have the redhead out of his head and system. He was up for kitchen sex as much as the next guy.

With his mind on all that, he had managed to put his uncle out of his mind for a few hours.
