It took over half an hour for him to find her, but she hadn’t fallen asleep yet, just lay there in the dark listening for him. Then she listened to him quietly get ready for bed himself, thinking she was asleep.
His smell overpowered her as he slid in the bed beside her until he took her in his arms. Then he was very close.
He kissed the back of her head and said softly, “Goodnight, Lucy.”
She didn’t answer, just enjoyed the warmth of his body on hers. The feel of his hands touching her, first her shoulder, then down her arm until it rested over her hand that was resting on her babies.
Then his hand traveled up her stomach and caressed the underside of her breast, stopping her breathing instantly. As she silently bit her lip, his hand moved higher and grazed her nipple, which reacted to his caress, as did her beating heart, which started to race.
Her hands were clasped at her stomach, but the rest of her body went straight onto the betrayal bandwagon, and her body nudged closer to his, too close because she could feel his rock-hard erection against her butt.
At the movement, his hand cupped her breast through the T-shirt, and his lips touched her shoulder. As her body further betrayed her by leaning into his caress, he whispered, “I want to try out some of my new over-the-clothes moves.”
That made her chuckle. Maybe he had been paying attention to her movies, or at least the parts he wanted to pay attention to.
After a few minutes of caressing her breasts, he stopped just before she gave in to her body’s need for more. His hand left her breast, and he pulled her to him.
Kissing her cheek, he said, “Goodnight, Lucy.”
“Goodnight, Leo,” she answered back, wondering if she had done something wrong to where he didn’t want to continue touching her anymore. Had he grown bored with her so quickly?
Her tears fell silently into her pillow as she felt his breathing grow regular, and he fell asleep, slumber that eluded Lucy for hours as she wondered how she was going to last two years with him.
