“Once a month, I guess. But you don’t have to be drunk for it. Just sleeping.” She let him open the door for her.
“The Lovely wakeup?” He marveled at the idea.
“Ironic since Lovely is our last name, and it is very unpleasant.” She shrugged and headed out the door.
“Thank you for bringing her home.”
“Just happy Mom wanted to go out drinking tonight, or I never would have been there.” She headed towards the old Jeep in his driveway.
“Me too,” he admitted, but she didn’t acknowledge that she heard as she opened the Jeep’s door and climbed in.
Within moments she was backing out of his driveway and driving away. Lucy, his secretary. His very married secretary. Married to Cliff in the meeting. But all his mind could think about was her wet and naked in bed.
