“With Macy?” Getting off his lap, she grabbed her shirt from the floor and slipped it on as he pulled up his boxers and pants.

“With Lucy and only Lucy. Because Macy feels like a combination of your and Mabel’s names. I only think of Mabel as my sister-in-law. Lucy has my heart.” He kissed her nose as he said it and started buttoning up her shirt.

“I love you, Leo.” She wrapped her arms around him again, and he pulled her back onto his lap.

“I love you, Lucy Montgomery.” He ran his thumb over her lips. “But I am firing you.”

In shock, she pulled away from him. “Because we had sex on the desk?”

“Because you don’t like working here. When you agreed to marry me, I told you it was up to you if you work or not. I didn’t mention, but should have, that you can work wherever you want to. I want you happy, and catering makes you happy,” Leo insisted.

“Are you sure?” she asked, her chin quivering because she wanted to go back to working with Harper. She still hated working as a personal assistant. No matter how much she loved Leo and wanted to spend every moment with him. Her heart just wasn’t in office work. It was still in the kitchen.

“You want to go back, Lucy, and you only told her no because of me. But I will still be madly and deeply in love with you when you’re a caterer.” He kissed her softly. “I seem to have asked my assistant for a wife, and the only woman she found was this caterer.”

“How did she do?” she dared to ask.

“Perfectly,” was all he said before pulling her back into his arms.

It was exactly how she felt about it. Nothing had ever been so perfect.
