“No, dear. He won’t.”

Yukaro blinked. “Why won’t he?”

Beatrix smiled sweetly. “Because if he tries, his legs will be on the ground beside him.”

Haurel giggled, and Ysma blinked.

Yukaro nodded. “Understood. This is your home, and relocation on his part is mandatory.”

Beatrix smirked. “I am sure he has moved on by now. Probably has a cute beta with a little alpha of his own by now.”

Yukaro shook his head. “We don’t really move on. How long has it been?”

“Thirteen years.”

He stared. “You don’t look that old.”

“I know. I am stuck.”

Ysma chuckled. “Like Nelith. Oh, that will be funny in twenty years.”

Beatrix smiled. “You look pretty spry yourself. Now, you have a party to get to.”

Ysma blinked. “Oh, shit. Right. Will you be here tomorrow?”

“No, tomorrow isn’t a market day. It will be Monday that we reopen.”

Ysma nodded. “Right. Okay. We are going to get going. Have a great day.”

Yukaro looked down at her. “We are?”

“We are. You are trying to stare a hole through her.”

He nodded. “Thank you, ladies.”

Beatrix and Haurel nodded politely.

Ysma called out as they walked away, “Are we all here?”

Beatrix laughed. “Now we are. Well, all but Zella, and she will be here in the morning.”

Yukaro led her away and said, “That was unexpected.”

“Yeah. I don’t know why Haurel’s parents would have left her here.”

“Oh, she is an omega as well. Being with Beatrix was probably the safest place she could be.” Yukaro nodded slowly.

They got the last of the items and headed back to Revakka’s home where everyone was pitching in to get food ready for Xeva and Jeron’s engagement.

Ysma was working with Stone to make a dessert, and he paused. “You went to the market?”

“Yes.”

“Did you see the honey stall?”

Ysma began to figure out where this was going. “Yes.”

Stone cleared his throat. “Was there a young woman at the stall?”
