Nolan stood from his chair, walked around his desk, sat on the edge, then loosened his tie. "My long-time friend and business associate Piotr Andrysiak is arriving at National Airport in one week. I'm setting him up here at the MGM. Piotr and I are working on finalizing a lucrative partnership involving shipments coming in from the U.K. and setting up an exclusive escort service right here in this corrupt city."

Making money in the porn business and strip clubs was nothing new to the Reaper Bastards, so I wasn't sure where Nolan was going with his car salesman pitch.

"So what's in it for us?" I asked.

"Piotr has close ties to an MC in New Orleans, called the Valhalla Heathens, and they will set up a chapter here in Northern Virginia."

"Ah, hell no!" I barked, "D.C. and the surrounding area is Reaper Bastard territory! Heavy and my whole club will go to war like we've done many times-"

"Just calm the fuck down, Wrecker," Nolan interrupted. "It doesn't have to be some god-damn bloodbath just because another MC wants to be a partner and not an enemy!"

"Go fuck yourself, Nolan," I replied, nodded to Bagger, and we both stood and stormed out of his office.

CHAPTER 5

ELLE

I fidgeted in front of my bedroom mirror, tilting my head and not liking the outfit I chose to wear that night for my fifteen-year high school class reunion. I didn't have any elegant cocktail dresses in my closet and only wore boring business suits of grey and black. So I put on my only flashy outfit - a red dress suit with a black blouse and red heels.

I had feelings of nervousness and nostalgia at seeing everyone from my class.

I kept in touch with Hailey and Sarah over the years through social media and was excited to see them again and reminisce.

Hailey was happily married to Austin Langley, an airline pilot. Sadly, Sarah had been married twice and was going through her second divorce. Sarah's first marriage to Michael Stratton only lasted two years because he was abusive and and serving time in prison for domestic abuse. Sarah's second husband, Nate Weston, was a wealthy businessman. However, he lied about his time with his associates on golf trips and dealt with shady people in politics and organized crime. Sarah separated from Nate eight months ago and was living in an expensive condo in Georgetown, DC, waiting for the divorce to be final.

I hoped I would see Billy Cooper at the high school reunion. His father was a grumpy old man who drank alot and scared all the kids in his neighborhood. So last bit of info I could get on Billy was from Hendrix, who told me Billy was stationed in Afghanistan after finishing basic Marine Corps training in South Carolina. A few years later, Billy's father moved to Florida, and I couldnt find any information about Hendrix social media. He could have moved away or died for all I knew. Hendrix was my only connection to Billy.

The high school reunion was a private party held at Bobby McKey's Dueling Piano Bar in National Harbor, Maryland. It started at 8 pm, so I made sure I was fashionably late and climbed out of my Uber driver's car at 8:45 pm. The bar was packed with my high school classmates when I entered, and I found two best friends immediately.

Hailey, dressed in a pretty maroon cocktail dress with her husband, Austin, in a black designer suit, gave me warm hugs.

Sarah came crashing into me with a pink cocktail in her hand, wearing a slinky black cocktail dress with shimmering gold sequins. We hugged and laughed, and when the DJ began to play "Hollaback Girl" by Gwen Stefani, we shouted the lyrics in unison. I drank two glasses of wine to loosen me up, and even though it had been fifteen years since we graduated from high school, we felt like teenagers again.

I saw Logan Peabody, dressed in a black suit, standing on the other side of the bar with a crowd of high school friends. A flashbacks of prom night and how Logan ruined it came to mind as he glanced my way a few times with a shit-eating grin on his face. But then he completely ignored me after I flipped him the bird.

"Hello, Eleanor," said a man with a deep voice from behind me. I turned around to see Daemon Kent.

The backseat of Daemon's car at the high school graduation party…

Kissing.

Licking.

Fondling.

Fucking.

My first time.

"Oh! Hi Daemon." Was all I could muster after a few more glasses of wine I had drank.

He still looked good, but his face had more masculine angels than in high school.

"It's great to see you again. How have you been?" He asked, looking a bit nervous with his hands in the pockets of his grey slacks.

He popped my cherry, and then I never spoke to him again.

"I've been good. How about you?" I asked, even though I was not interested to know.
