He could tell she was getting close from her moans, and that pushed him further toward the edge.

“Fuck yeah, baby. I’m gonna come,” he warned her.

She didn’t pull off and instead swirled her mouth around him again and sucked harder.

The intensity from her sucking plus the sound and vibration from her moans around his shaft when she reached her own climax pushed him over the edge. He grunted when he came hard, his cock releasing into her mouth.

She swallowed then continued to gently suck until she milked every last drop.

He stroked his hand over her hair then pulled her to her feet.

“That was fuckin’ fantastic,” he said. He pulled her close and kissed her.

When she started massaging her tongue against his, he forced himself to break the kiss. He pressed a small kiss to her temple and hugged her.

He said, “As much as I want to continue this right now, I need to feed us so we have strength for later. Steak okay?”

“Oh my god, a man after my own heart.” She kissed him again then said, “Steak sounds perfect.”

“Coming right up.”

“Is there anything I can do to help?”

“Nah, I got you, baby. Why don’t you go relax in a bath and I’ll come get you when the food’s ready?”

“I think I’m fucking you twice later for that wonderful suggestion, Mr. Blue Eyes.”

He laughed and nipped at her lips. “That was happening anyway.” He kissed her, then said, “Enjoy your bath, sweetness.”

“Thanks, Ry.”

He playfully slapped her ass when she walked away, which made her laugh.

He pulled his jeans on and crossed the room to the fridge.

A retired neighbor looked after this place when Ryker wasn’t in town. Ryker hadn’t been here for months so he had asked the old man to stock the kitchen before they got here. He did great. The fridge looked like it could feed an army for two weeks.

Ryker pulled out everything he needed to grill some dinner. He diced up some potatoes, onions, and peppers, drizzled it all in olive oil, sprinkled some seasoning on it, and wrapped it in aluminum foil. Then he grabbed two steaks out of the fridge and rubbed seasoning on them.

When the food was prepped, he entered the code into the security system to deactivate it, opened the door, and carried everything outside.

The cabin’s back patio had the standard table and chairs, plus an additional fire pit and a grill. It faced a gorgeous thicket of woods with the lake nearby.

He got the grill going, put everything on, and sat down at the table.

The sun would set soon, but the evening was gorgeous.

Being out here was so peaceful. From the patio, he could only hear the sounds of nature — the water nearby, the birds chirping, and the leaves rustling in the wind. There were no sounds of traffic, car horns, or other people. He didn’t see any at the moment, but sometimes deer and other wildlife wandered into view.

Ryker loved it out here. He spent a lot of time in the city for work, but he was a country boy at heart. He hoped to move out here full-time eventually.

He wondered if Jade would be happy living out here, too. They’d jokingly discussed marriage, but he could seriously see himself with her. Maybe not until they got to know each other better, but someday.

He liked her. A lot. More and more every day. He could only see this retreat cementing that more. Surprisingly, despite his bad track record with relationships, the idea of commitment with Jade didn’t scare him.

Ryker absentmindedly hopped up to flip the steaks and turn the foil packet, then settled back on his chair.

First, he had to deal with this stalker and make sure Jade was safe. He hadn’t told her yet, but the fire chief said it looked like someone soaked a high-proof alcohol, probably rum, on one of the band member’s street clothes on a couch in the dressing room then lit the whole thing on fire. No confirmation yet, but he would guess that the clothes were Jade’s.
