He continued to worship her for hours, sometimes with help from Manny to coax her over the edge, eventually untying her hands and letting her touch him back.

They successfully set a new record when he came inside her during her seventh orgasm, right as daylight touched the edges of the hotel curtains.

Chapter 21

Jade

“Here, baby. You can use this to pass the time.” Ryker set the shopping bags on the floor and handed her a prepaid smartphone. “Don’t use your normal accounts or post on social media. Set up a temporary email address and link any new accounts to a prepaid card so you can read or download games or whatever.”

Ryker just returned from an essentials shopping trip where he’d picked up food and apparently a couple of phones to help pass the time.

They’d decided to stay put until it was time to return to the tour. They were in a random town with no connection to either of them, they were using an untraceable card for the hotel room, and Ryker could make all the errand runs while Jade holed up in the hotel room to avoid recognition.

Jade understood the reasons they were doing this and agreed with them, but three days into it she was already going a little stir-crazy. She hated being cooped up inside, especially since she no longer had her drums. She could only watch so much court TV, and as much as she loved sexing up Ryker, sometimes they needed to rest. She couldn’t even go out to the gym in case someone recognized her so she hadn’t worked out since they left the cabin. At least now she could download the Kindle app or something to help pass some time.

Jade hopped off the bed and hugged him. “Thanks, Ry. You’re the best.”

He wrapped his arms around her and squeezed.

“You’re welcome. I have one more surprise for you, but I have to run back out to the truck for it. Wait here.” He kissed her temple and stepped back.

“Do I get a hint?”

“Nope. You’ll see.” He headed toward the door. “I’ll be right back. No peeking.” He grinned before shutting the door and leaving her in the room.

Jade was curious and had no idea what this surprise could be.

She peeked out the window, but couldn’t see the truck from there. He must have parked on the other side of the building where the truck would be less visible from the road.

She settled impatiently on the bed to wait.

She started setting up the new phone and added the prepaid minutes Ryker bought for it. The setup went by fast. She pulled up Twitter without logging in. Sure enough, the “find Jade challenge” was still trending. A bunch of comments claimed sightings all over the country, some in places Jade had never heard of.

Her PR team released a simple response stating that Jade was on a pre-planned vacation and to stay tuned for the tour to return as scheduled.

Jade rolled her eyes and tossed the phone aside. She loved her fans but she would never get used to how crazy some people could be.

A few minutes later, she heard the door lock beep. When it opened, Ryker stepped through holding something behind his back then shut the door behind him.

He grinned. “Shut your eyes, sweetness.”

“But—”

“Trust me. Shut your eyes.”

She trusted Ryker more than anyone so, despite how much she hated surprises, she closed her eyes.

She didn’t hear him — he walked silently due to all his training — but she sensed his approach. He placed a long rectangular box in her lap and guided her hands onto its edges.

He pressed a soft kiss to her cheek.

“Okay, baby. You can look now.”

She opened her eyes and practically squealed when she saw the picture on the box.

An electronic drum kit!

The kit was portable and lightweight — basically a roll-out mat with multiple pads, plus a pedal, speakers, and sticks.
