“I know,” she ran her fingertips across his chest. “Ultimately, I’d love to move back here with you, have a bunch of kids, and settle down. Like ten years from now.”

He grinned. “Oh yeah?”

“Yeah. You’re my go-to. When I think ‘permanent’, I think of you.”

He kissed her temple. “I’m glad to hear it, Pixie. If I get to choose permanent, I want you, too.”

“What are your plans for today?” she asked, stroking his chest.

“I’m supposed to work the closing shift at the pub tonight. I go in at 3.”

“What time is it now?”

“One-ish.”

“So we have time for another round?”

He laughed and kissed her hair. “Sure. How about we catch a shower together before we leave?”

“Mmkay.” She closed her eyes and played with his chest hair.

He combed through her short hair with his fingertips and massaged her scalp.

“Mmmm. That feels wonderful. I don’t wanna leave,” she murmured. “I wanna stay in bed with you all day.”

“I know, baby. But I have to go to work.”

Her head whipped up and she glared at him. “No, I don’t like it.”

He looked at her, surprised. “Me going to work?”

“No. The endearment. I like Pixie better.”

Understanding dawned on him and he laughed. “Okay. Never again. I promise.” He playfully swatted her ass.

“Good.” She rested her head on his chest and he wrapped his arm around her back. Her body hummed from their closeness. “I always feel good when I’m with you. No one else makes me feel this way. Our energies interact. Like... I don’t know exactly. Like our bodies make music together.”

“You feel that, too?”

“Yes. Like I said before, no one else sparks me like you do. Kissing you...” She lifted her head and consumed his lips with hers. A deep kiss later, she finished, “...Is unlike kissing anyone else.”

“Really? I wouldn’t know.”

“What do you mean?”

Aiden’s eyes flicked to her lips and he brushed them with his fingertip. He met her gaze. “I’ve never kissed anyone but you.”

“But... I’m confused. You said you’ve had one night stands.”

“I did. They satisfied a need. All casual hookups. I wasn’t looking for a relationship. Neither were they. Kissing felt too personal. I’ve never kissed anyone but you. Never wanted to.”

He leaned forward and softly kissed her.

She whimpered as she felt the current flow between them and cupped his face with her hands.

When their kiss ended, she met his eyes and stared at them for a moment. He looked serious, as though the admission took a lot for him to say.

She broke the seriousness when she said, “Mother Teresa.”
