She ducked and stepped aside. “Blake. We are not back together. I do not forgive you. You cheated on me. You still have at least one girlfriend. Fidelity is an issue for you. No. Do you understand the words coming out of my mouth?”

“Those women are gone. You need to trust me.”

“No, you need to leave. I am not in a relationship with you.” She began to head into the dressing room but his next words stopped her in her steps.

“You are, so I called Aiden and gave him a piece of my mind.”

Her head whipped around. “You WHAT?”

“You heard me. I can’t have your ex moving in on what’s mine.”

She stepped closer to Blake and narrowed her eyes.

“Did you just say you called Aiden and told him I belong to you?”

“Yes, I did.” He puffed his chest out. “Good thing, too. He thought you two were back together.”

Her fist broke his nose before she even realized what happened.

“You and I are not together. Get. Out. Of. My. Life.”

She punched him again, over and over. Eventually, she must have hit his jaw because he collapsed, knocked out cold.

She growled at his unconscious body and stomped across the hall, back into the dressing room.

“Are you okay? You’re bleeding,” Polly said, rushing forward.

Bex’s knuckles were scraped and bloodied.

“I’m okay. Blake’s not. If anyone sees him in the hallway, I have no idea what happened. But apparently the asshole has a glass jaw.”

Bex crossed the dressing room to pick her phone up off her makeup table. Quickly, she dialed Aiden.

In the middle of a shift at the pub, he answered out of breath, “Bex? Bex? Are you okay?”

“I’m not back with Blake and I will never get back with Blake,” she said.

Aiden laughed. “I know.”

“He said he called you.”

“He did. I didn’t believe him. It’s no big deal.”

“I need you to know, I am with you. He is way out of the picture.”

“I know. I believe you. Ignore him.”

“Okay. Good. I was worried.”

“I don’t often listen to the ravings of madmen. He’s insane. Aren’t you supposed to be onstage soon?”

“Yeah, the opening band is on now.”

“Okay, Pixie. Get ready for your show. Knock their socks off. I’ll talk to you tonight like normal, all right?”

“Okay.”

“I love you,” he said.
