Vaughn clutches his graying hair as a manic glint descends into his eyes. “Jake hasn’t been receiving my calls for days now,” he says, looking disturbed. “He hasn’t gone to his office either. No one can track him. No one knows where he’s gone!” His head whips up to stare at me. “You!” he screams, pointing a finger. “You did something to him!”

“No one’s going to care what anyone did to him after we present our charges against him,” I say. “If you know what’s good for you, come with us quietly.”

He scoffs, stepping away from me. “There’s no way you have access to those servers. No fucking way!”

“But, we do,” Simon says in a soft voice.

“How?! Did you torture Jake to get the information?”

“We didn’t have to do anything,” Oliver says. “Our mate handled that shitty bastard all on her own.”

“Impossible! There’s no way a drug-addled omega could go against an alpha like Jake.”

“Rory never took those goddamned drugs,” I tell the senator. “She chose to bear all that pain and torture. You can never imagine how strong she is. Rory’s been fighting her battles since the moment Jake sold her to the Black Widow.”

“I’m sure he can imagine,” Oliver says from beside me. “She split his head open and left him unconscious in his bedroom. That’s how strong of a woman our mate is, Senator. Don’t you dare underestimate her ever again!”

“Cuff him,” I say with a cutting glance at Simon.

“Gladly,” says my brother as he brings out the handcuffs.

My gaze rovers around the lawn, making sure we’re surrounded by our soldiers as Simon steps forward. I don’t like being in the enemy’s territory even though we’ve taken over it. An enemy could be hiding anywhere and lying in wait to hurt us.

“You’re making a big mistake,” Vaughn threatens as the cuffs click in place. “I will destroy that bitch and her family.”

A cruel grin lifts the corners of his lips as he meets my gaze. “I will take the stand and tell everyone how Aurora Bailey sucked cocks in those godforsaken tunnels.” He barks out a laugh. “I hope your pack can take the humiliation of keeping such a whore among them.”

My fingers tighten around my gun as I suddenly force the barrel into his mouth. “Keep talking,” I say softly.

Vaughn’s eyes cross as they stare down at the gun sticking out of his mouth.

“Nothing to say anymore?” I ask, pushing the gun further down his throat. He gags but I don’t let him go.

This time my brothers don’t stop me. They simply stand back and watch.

“Do you know how many men die during arrests?” I ask in a quiet voice.

His body starts trembling as he stares at me with fearful eyes.

“You’ve been marked a traitor,” I remind him. “Your death will not make anyone weep a single tear. The data we got from those hidden servers is enough to weed out the remnants of your terrorist organization. There’s no need for us to keep you alive. So, go on. Keep hurling your nonsense and see what happens.”

The faint smell of urea hits my nostrils. It takes me a moment to realize I’m sensing the stench of urine.

Looking down, I see that Vaughn has wet himself.

“What a pathetic loser,” Oliver says with a disgusted sneer. “He’s been a bully all his life but the moment someone stronger appears, he pees in his pants.”

“Threaten our mate again and I’ll blow your brains out,” I warn in a soft, deadly tone. “You’ll never be safe from us again, Mr. Senator. We’ll always keep our eyes on you and make sure you behave.”

“Why bother?” Simon says from behind me. “Pull that trigger and finish the son-of-a-bitch.”

A snort escapes me as I stare at the trembling man before me. “Shall I?”

Tears stream down his face as he shakes his head. Faint gurgling sounds escape him as he silently begs me to let him go.

Taking a deep breath, I calm myself and pull the gun out of his mouth. With a silent gesture, I command my men to drag Vaughn into one of the waiting trucks.

“We’ve finally caught him,” Simon whispers, watching Vaughn’s retreating figure.
