“What do we do with her?” my captor asks while I continue to struggle against her.

“Let’s her drag into the basement and confine her there,” Crowley replies, panting hard. “I’d love to kill her right now but we need her to tell us where the rest of the escaped omegas are hiding.”

“I guess we can figure out what to do with her later,” her companion agrees.

“Our master is our priority right now,” says Crowley. “Let’s lock her up and call for emergency services before it’s too late.”

My captor nods.

“Where are you taking me?” I scream as one of them grabs my wrist while the other pushes me from behind. “Let me go or I’ll kill the two of you too!”

My threats sound weak and empty to my own ears. Tears run down my cheeks as I fight and struggle against them.

Together, they’re both strong enough to drag me out of the room.

Panic and fear rise within me. What would happen to me if Vaughn truly is dead? Will these women kill me for revenge? Will they torture me until I tell them where the other omegas are hiding?

For the first time, I’m realizing that Vaughn wanted more from me than just my body. His real motive in capturing me was to use me to find the other omegas. They want to go back to their old business of abusing omegas and selling them to make money.

Millie and the other women are still recuperating from being captives under the Black Widow. They deserve peace and protection after the horrible tortures they’ve suffered. I can’t become the reason they lose their freedom.

Seth, Oliver, Simon! Help me! I desperately pray in my mind even though I know they’re far away and have no idea that I’m gone.

Our car stops beside the gates of a posh property. To make sure we’re at the right place, I read the address embossed on a bronze plaque on the wall.

“This is it,” I say, opening the car door. “Let’s go.”

Simon and I climb out of the car while Seth cuts off the engine. Instead of waiting for him, we head toward the tall barred gates.

Two guards come forward, squinting at us.

“Open up,” I command in a deep, grim voice.

“Who are you?” one of the guards asks in a suspicious tone. “What do you want at this hour of the night?”

“It doesn’t matter who we are,” Simon replies. “We’re here to see the senator. Open the gate and we won’t have any problems.”

“The senator’s not home,” the guard says. His companion nods, continuing to stare at us with a suspicious glare.

“Everything all right in here?” a different voice speaks up.

A chill slithers down my spine as a tall man in a black camo outfit steps into the light. He’d been so quiet in his movements, that I never paid any attention to him as he approached us.

My gaze fixes on the assault rifle in his hand. Why would a senator require this level of security around his home?

Seth’s footsteps sound behind me. He comes to a stop beside me and stares at the guards before us.

“Why aren’t they opening up?” Seth demands.

“You are trespassing,” the armed guard says in a soft voice but the hostility in it doesn’t go unnoticed by us.

“We’re not breaking in,” Seth says in a calm tone. “We’re here to see the senator.”

Glancing at him, I notice the way he’s balled his hands into fists. My eldest brother may seem relaxed but he’s fighting to stay in control.
