And she reaches out to grab me by the waistband of my trousers. Her softness molds to me and warmth spreads inside me. Her small hand smooths up and down my back as we embrace. I wonder how I’m going to survive without her touch even for such a short period of time?

“I have to leave for an emergency meeting at the senate. Today.”

“Is this because you asked to go to Earth?” she asks. “I didn’t know it would be so much trouble, you don’t have to.”

I squeeze her softness, slowly dancing us around to the tune that she was just singing. “It’s no trouble.”

“How long will you be gone?”

“About two days, assuming everything goes smoothly.”

There is a short hesitation before she speaks. I am not sure if she simply didn’t hear me or if her thoughts are back to something else.

“I can stay with Pri’za, I suppose.”

“Did she call you?” I ask. Her body stiffens a little and I pull back to look at her. “You okay?”

“Yeah, yeah,” she swallows. “Uh, no she didn’t call me, but I’m sure she wouldn’t mind getting lunch or something, ya know? Girl time.”

I hum, leaning down until we are eye level. A little, nervous laugh comes out of my mate. Odette’s eyes are as beautiful as the rest of her, yet I know they hold something deeper. The suppliesin the pool shed, the immediacy of my trip to earth, something is being planned behind my back and I don’t like it.

Maybe I am just as nosey as my sister.

Odette squirms under my attention. When the microheater rings, her eyes flick toward the machine and I know I’ve got her cornered. She can’t look me in the eye again and if it weren’t so adorable I’d probably be a little annoyed.

“You can’t tell Pri’za I spilled the beans,” she whispers. “It’s a surprise.”

A grin that is way too smug spreads across my face. My tail swishes back and forth with delight at getting her to tell me. So they are trying to send me away for a short time on purpose. That explains how easy it was for me to get a return trip to Earth, but I’m not sure why I can’t know about what they are planning.

“What’s the surprise?” I ask.

“Nope, nuh-uh, I have to keep some secrets.” She twists around so she can’t see me anymore. She folds her arms across chest as if she is closing our conversation. But I am just as bad as my sister. I want to know everything, especially if we are surprising someone.

“Do you though?” I tickle her soft sides

“Ma’xon,” she gasps. “Yes, now go do the things so you can come back to me sooner.”

When I lift Odette up and spin her around, she laughs and laughs, and my hearts fill with so much happiness I forget about my own surprise for her. I put her down on the counter just to look in her eyes again without bending so much. She is filled with joy, and therefore so am I.

Odette winds her arms around me and all I can think is this is my life. I can’t ask for anything more. This is why I have to do this for her, why I am desperate to bring her teddy bear back from Earth much sooner than she believes.

“Will you sing for me when I get back?” I ask.

“Every day we’re together,” she promises, before stuffing a cookie in my mouth. “Now skedaddle.”

Letters of resignation are sent to employers, fake trips scheduled with no return, homes emptied, and contents placed in TRP owned storage containers. It’s all standard procedure now. The Solarium Union is nothing without their bureaucracy.

It makes this trip to Earth much more comfortable. No one cocked goo bodies or anxiety to worry about.

Well there is some anxiety as I land in this frozen tundra at the southernmost point of Earth. What if I can’t find the mysterious Marbles? Returning home empty handed is not an option. I could enquire with the receptionist if there are any units available for purchase and root around in those, but it would take up more time, meaning longer away from my pup.

No, I will find my mate’s teddy bear if it’s the last thing I do. And it very well could be if I freeze to death. The tips of my fins are numb and my gums ache with how much my teeth chatter as I walk through the polytunnel from the landing bay to the storage facility. It’s not even a long walk, but I think of home; the humidity, two suns, and Odette’s hot pussy wrapped around my cocks.

I see why some beings evolved to have pockets or sheaths. I would kill for an extra layer of that protection right now. At the door there is an electric keypad and I have to pull up my comm to remember the passcode, but the moment I’m in hot dry air blows down from the door.

Praise Sur’lax.

If that is the hardest part of this journey, I will take it. While I would do most anything for my pup, I am not an Axilarian built for the ice tundra. After the reception gives me an old schoolkeycard, I am on my own to find and swipe what I need from the unit. Again, bureaucracy and order reigns because all I have to do is follow the signs down the well lit halls.
