“How romantic.”

“Did I mention there will be fucking? Lots and lots of fucking.”

I burst out laughing. “Mr. Sinclair, we really need to work on that dirty mouth of yours.” I plant a kiss on his cheek. “It wouldn’t be a night spent together if there wasn’t sex involved, now would it?”

“Glad we’re on the same page,” he remarks with a wink. “On New Year’s Day morning, I’m taking you to Daylight Donuts on 14th Street. Their glazed donuts are to die for.”

“No way.” I shake my head. “The Donut Den on the Lower East Side hasthemost amazing glazed donuts.”

“It sounds like we have a new tradition on our hands,” Jack says.

“And what’s that?” I ask.

“Spending New Year’s Day trying all the glazed donuts in New York City to determine which one is the best.”

“I like the sound of that.” I lean my head against his shoulder. “Oh, that reminds me. I got you something.”

I pull a white envelope from my coat pocket and hand it to him.

“Presley, you didn’t have to get me anything,” Jack says.

“I wanted to,” I promise. “And something tells me you’re going to love your gift.”

He furrows his brow when he pulls out two tickets from the envelope. “VIP tickets to see the Sovereign Kings.” His eyes widen with excitement. “Are you serious?”

“Sure am. I know you’re a big fan. They’re performing at Madison Square Garden on New Year’s Day.”

“How did you score these? The band rarely performs outside their Las Vegas residency at Premiere, and this show has been sold out for months.” He holds out the tickets in awe.

“Stafford Holdings owns Premiere, and Harrison is good friends with its general manager, Randy Daniels. When he told Emerson—the band’s manager—theJack Sinclair wanted to come to a Sovereign Kings concert, he was more than happy to get us tickets.”

“Wow. Presley, I can’t thank you enough.” He wraps his arm around me. “It’s going to be such a tough decision to decide who to bring. Do you think Valentine would want to go? Or what about Sarah from accounting? I’m sure she’s a Sovereign Kings fan.” He grins widely.

I swat at him playfully. “You can take whoever you want, but there’s only one person you can bring if you want to guarantee that you’ll get laid after,” I tease.

“Presley, will you go with me to the Sovereign Kings concert?” He dramatically clasps my hands in his. “Full disclosure: we’re going to have lots of sex when we get back to the hotel.”

“You are something else.” I snicker. “But you’re mine.”

“And you’re mine,” he replies.

Yes, all his.

We make our way to the park next to the town Christmas tree. The ground is covered in a thick blanket of snow, and I can’t resist turning around and falling back into the powdery white pile. I outstretch my arms and legs, moving them back and forth to make a snow angel.

“Jack, join me,” I shout with glee.

He doesn’t hesitate to drop into the snow beside me, and I fall silent as I watch him. There’s no one else I’d rather spend Christmas Day with, and I’m still in disbelief that he’s really mine. Now and forever.

“I love you, Jack,” I murmur.

“I love you too, Presley.”

I lean over, pressing my mouth to his, and he grasps my jaw, deepening the kiss. Our attempt at making snow angels is abandoned, the world around us disappearing. We’re in our own private bubble, the outside world forgotten. We’re two souls ignited by a mutual love for one another, and I can’t wait for what our future holds.

My trip home to Aspen Grove didn’t turn out how I had planned, but now I know what happens if I give a grump a holiday wish list…

He falls in love.
