"We have a baby boy." She announces to me but I’m still in pain at this point.

"What about the other baby?" I pant.

"The other baby is breech. We need to do a c-section." She suddenly tells me, worry on her face.

I'm too tired to ask what a c-section is, and I feel like my body is on fire. "Okay."

I'm too tired to think. Too tired to do anything but wait for them to tell me what was going on.

"It's alright, Hannah. We're going to get the baby out." She tells me, patting my hand.

"Okay." I whisper, unable to comprehend what is happening at this point.

"Now, just take a deep breath." She murmurs.

I have no idea how much time has passed but the next thing I know, the doctor is standing beside me, holding my second baby.

"Is that my baby?" I ask, my voice hoarse from screaming.

"It's your baby girl." She replies with a smile.

I reach out and hold my baby girl, tears falling down my cheeks. She's perfect.

"Where's my son?" I ask, wondering where he is.

"He's getting cleaned up. Don't worry. He's healthy and perfect."

I have never felt so happy in my life. My heart swells with pride, knowing that I have a boy and a girl.

"What's their names?" She asks me.

"The boy's name is Alexander and the girl's name is Zandria." I tell her, looking at my beautiful babies.

She smiles, "those are beautiful names."

"Thank you." I tell her honestly.

When she leaves, the nurse comes back and tells me that they are going to have the babies stay with them tonight because of their health.

"But why?" I ask, wondering why they wouldn't be able to stay with me.

"The twins are a little small." The nurse explains, "We just want to make sure that they have everything they need."

"Okay." I whisper, "Thank you."

When the nurse leaves, I feel a sense of dread wash over me. Something is wrong.

"Where's Zandria?" I ask, not seeing her anywhere.

"Don't worry, Hannah." The nurse says gently, "We're going to take good care of her."

"Take good care of her?" I ask, my heart pounding in my chest as I know something isn’t right.

"Yes, she's premature." The nurse explains, giving me a sad smile.

"Can I see her before you leave?" I beg her, "please."

"I'll try to get her in." She promises me.
