It was true.

“But then again, that was before Vada. Takes a good woman to change everything.”

Yeah.

Hades glanced back at the hallway. Vada had piqued his curiosity, and he was waiting on her. He slowly turned back around to the room but jerked his gaze to the corner of the room. There was a small group circled together, talking. The corner of his mouth curled, watching the scene.

Ryder stood in the middle of the group with Sydney in front of him, and his arms wrapped around her. Kase had his arm around Phoebe’s shoulders with her hand resting on his stomach. Hades shifted his gaze to Ryder’s opposite side. Gunner and Lil with Daphne in Lil’s arms. Full circle.

“Kase is going to extend an invitation to East to come back tomorrow. A lot of food and alcohol. Thought we’d make your wedding a two-day event.” Saint arched his brow. “I take it you and Vada won’t be attending.”

Hades smirked. “Got plans for me and my wife, and none of them include any of you.”

Saint chuckled and glanced over his shoulder. “Speaking of your wife.”

Hades looked back to the hallway and stilled.

Fuck. Me.

Chapter Seventeen

Vada stood in front of the full-length mirror.

She would’ve been happy enough to stay in her wedding gown for the whole night, but she wanted to end it with a very untraditional departure. She turned, taking one last look. It was a bit over the top, especially for her. Yet, somehow, it was perfect.

“You decent?” The knock on the door had her spinning around. Without waiting for her answer, Trini barged in with the rest of the women.

“Roan and I are heading out, so…” Trini stopped mid-sentence. Her mouth fell open as her gaze slowly scanned Vada’s outfit. “Holy shit.”

Vada felt the heat rise, and her heart started to pump. She slid her hands over the corseted white top and smoothed them over her white leather pants.

“Is it too much?”

Trini blinked with a small smile playing on her lips. Why wasn’t she saying anything? Vada looked over at Trista, who shared the same look.

Vada’s nerves were on the rise, and she was seconds from changing back into her wedding dress. “Well” —she gulped— “say something.”

Marissa chuckled. “You are definitely getting pregnant tonight.”

Trista scoffed. “If I wasn’t pregnant and married, I’d bang you.”

Vada rolled her eyes and skimmed her hands over her waist. “You think Hades will like it?”

Macy laughed. “You’ll be pregnant before you make it down the driveway.”

“Hell, I think I just got pregnant looking at you,” Cheyenne said.

Vada walked over to the chair, grabbed her white leather jacket, and put it on. She pulled her hair from the collar and turned to find all the women smiling at her. This group of women. They weren’t just friends, they were family.

They walked down the hall and out into the bar. She scanned the room, looking for her husband. She found him with his heated stare locked on her. He set the bottle on the bar and stalked toward her.

“Definitely pregnant by tonight,” Bailey whispered as she and Trista walked away.

Hades eyed her outfit.

“What do you think?”

“I’m gonna show you what I think of it when I get you home.” He hooked his arm around her waist, cupped her jaw, and growled. “We’re leaving right now.”
