Trax didn’t doubt it. Where some girls were nasty and bitchy, Nadia usually treated everyone with kindness. He opened the door, but a flash of red caught his eyes down the hall. Meg rushed to the door, ignoring his head shaking.

“I’ll sit with her.”

“No.”

“Why not?” she pleaded with red-rimmed eyes.

“Because you’ve been crying enough tonight, don’t need you more upset, Meg.”

“I won’t.”

He shook his head and glanced down at her when her hand rested on his stomach. “And I won’t upset her either if that’s what you’re worried about.”

It struck him as odd she would make that assumption. He didn’t doubt Meg wouldn’t do anything to upset Cheyenne.

Nadia giggled. He turned his head and glared. “What the hell was that for?”

She shrugged and smiled. “Heard the guys talking about the one who got under Trax’s skin, he didn’t even partake in the pussy party at the club.” She peeked into the room and then back to Trax. “I’m guessing that’s her, huh?”

He didn’t answer, which turned her smile into a grin. He would address the men later about their gossiping like bitches. For now, he had other business to deal with. Nadia tapped his arm. “Let Meg go in.”

Meg stepped up with a plea. “Please.”

He looked between both women. Either one would be his top choice. He trusted them, but out of the two, he’d prefer she be with a woman he hadn’t slept with. “Fine.”

Meg walked in, going directly to the bed and sitting next to her. Her gaze drew to him.

“Meg’s gonna hang with you while I’m gone. Okay?”

She nodded, and her lips formed a tight line, eyeing Meg and Trax. “Okay.”

Meg put her arm around Cheyenne, tugging her into her side. “We’ll be fine, Trax. Go do what ya have to do.”

He reluctantly closed the door and walked down the hall with Nadia following close behind. “So, is it serious?”

“Is what serious?”

“You and her?”

He stopped and turned back to Nadia, who smiled and practically bounced on her toes. “Nad, I just met her.”

She grasped his waist. She’d always been a touchy type of person, especially with those she liked. “Yeah, but I sense something.”

He laughed. “Ah, fuck me.”

“She seems sweet, and we already know she’s loyal, sticking with Mick the way she did. She’s unbelievably gorgeous, Trax, as if you didn’t know.”

He’d have to be fucking blind not to notice.

“You done?”

Her smile faltered, and her tone lowered. “You need someone sweet, Trax. Always so serious, you need a little light and sweet. This world is too dark without a little light.”

He leaned in closer and smirked. “I get all the sweet I want when I want it.”

She rolled her eyes and narrowed her gaze. He turned to head out back where the brothers had gathered. But Nadia wasn’t done just yet.

“That’s pussy.” She’d caught his attention, and he glanced over his shoulder. “You need more, you deserve more. Your ex jaded you.” She pointed to his door and narrowed her gaze. “Don’t let her slip away, Trax, because someone will come along and take her sooner than you think. Hell, half the brothers are eyeing her as old lady material.”
