“You’re kidding?” my mom asks with a wide grin. “Things come back around full circle, don’t they?”
“Are you going to take it?” Juliet asks.
“I don’t know. You and I really have to discuss it. But right now, I want to focus on the Vikings and our win tonight.”
“Of course, this is a big night for you. We’ll wait and discuss it when you’re ready,” Juliet says.
“It’s all exciting news and I’m proud of you, honey,” my mom says, rubbing my arm.
“We’d better get back to the family. I just wanted to see you for a minute,” Juliet says.
“I’m glad you did,” I tell her, bending down and pressing a kiss to her lips. “I’ll see you guys in a bit.”
Juliet takes Enes back and then the three of them head back down the hallway while my head spins with everything that just happened tonight.
Right before I open the door to the locker room, I hear the echo of my mom’s voice.
“The Haynes’ are going back to Seattle.”
