She looked up at him with big eyes, and he knew she’d already read his mind and was anticipating the question. There was no keeping secrets from his woman and he liked that just fine. Secrets tore people apart, and he never wanted anything to come between them. He rolled off the bed, got down on one knee in front of her, both of them wearing only their birthday suits, and presented her with the ring. “Will you do me the great honor of being my wife?”

Orly’s smile beamed and she leaped into his arms. “Yes!”

He barely caught her before she took them both down. Holding her tight, he asked his next question. “Today?”

They had gone to the courthouse and filed for a marriage license a few days after returning from Arizona, but since Luke didn’t have a ring yet, he’d told Orly he would propose the right way when he got one. She’d been giddy with excitement, but that was two months ago. He didn’t want her to feel like he was rushing things, so he’d waited, but he honestly didn’t want to wait another day. Orly was his, and he wanted to make it legal.

When she didn’t answer right away, Luke lowered her onto the bed, took the solitaire princess cut diamond ring with a dainty rose gold band out of the box and slipped it on her finger. “I may have reserved a time for us at the courthouse for four hours from now,” he said. “I knew when you said yes, I wasn’t going to want to wait. But if you want to wait…”

Orly put a finger on his lips, effectively silencing him. “I don’t want to wait. And four hours is cutting it pretty close, but I think I’ll be able to find a dress in that time - if I get moving right now.” She started for the bathroom, giddy with excitement for the day ahead. She’d expected a proposal from Luke, but she’d never shared with him about not wanting a long engagement. That he didn’t want to wait either was perfect. She loved Luke more than life itself, and waiting unnecessarily to marry him would’ve been the worst kind of torture.

She stepped into the shower, making a mental list of everything she needed to get done in just four hours. She definitely needed a dress, but she could do her own hair and makeup. Maybe she could ask Aunt Bea to give her away, if Luke was okay with that. Orly had met the woman several times since coming back from Arizona, and they’d hit off. Orly wasn’t sure what Skyla was doing this morning, but maybe she’d agree to be her maid of honor. They’d hung out a lot since Orly’s ordeal, and just as Luke had predicted, they’d become fast friends.

Orly’s mind was still racing a mile a minute when Luke stepped into the shower, his perfect body pressing up against her. She was instantly distracted and turned on by him, and his eyes widened, no doubt sensing her arousal.

Hot water rained down on them from the waterfall shower head above, as he wrapped his arms around her. “I think we have a few extra minutes to spare.” He said, his mouth already working its magic along her neck, and his fingers lost in the folds of her hot pussy, making her squirm with need and anticipation. She leaned into his touch as he slipped two digits inside.

He peppered soft kisses mixed with little nips along her shoulder. “My sexy, insatiable fiancée.”

Orly mewled, loving that he called her his ‘fiancée,’ but needing more than just his fingers right now. She turned in his arms, presenting him with her backside, and he immediately palmed both globed in his large hands.

“Hold on,” he commanded, and waited for her hands to brace against the tile wall before thrusting into her core. He went fast and hard, and they both knew neither of them would last very long.

“Luke!” Orly shouted as her orgasm rolled through her, but he was already shuddering with his own climax, shooting hot streams of come into her, and just like always, it sent her into a second, even bigger orgasm.

He roared her name as they shook from their incredible release. Sex with Luke was incredible. Epic. Amazing. Every. Single. Time.

I love you. She thought, leaning her forehead against the cool tile wall of the shower as she tried to catch her breath.

He chuckled behind her, then smacked her ass. Damn right you do. Now let’s get ready. We’ve got a wedding to get to.

He turned her in his arms to face him, and his love for her shone through in his blue eyes. I love you with all that I am. Never forget that. He grabbed her bottle of shampoo, squirted some out onto his hand, and carefully started massaging it into her hair, lathering it in, and gently scrubbing her scalp.

It felt otherworldly, and Orly’s eyes nearly rolled back into their sockets from the sheer bliss of it. When he leaned her back, she tilted her head so the water rinsed out the shampoo. Then he did the same thing with her conditioner. I’ll always take care of you. His thought made her heart squeeze, and she pressed a soft hand to the side of his face. He held it there for a long moment, before filling his palm with her body wash and lathering it all over, making sure his fingers touched every inch of her body. Two more seconds of this and she was going to be primed and ready for round three.

Luke smirked, letting his gaze meet hers. She laughed. Of course that had been his intention all along, but she was all for it. Besides, how long could it possibly take to find a white dress?

***

Four hours later, Luke stood at the small altar in the courthouse, surrounded by their friends, Aunt Bea, and Skyla Madigan. He could hardly take his eyes off his beautiful bride. Orly wore a gorgeous white dress with white lace sleeves and a gently scooped neck. She’d found it at a local thrift store where it had apparently been on display for weeks, and she’d remembered seeing it after their marathon sex session.

When Orly asked him if he minded if Aunt Bea gave her away, he loved the idea, and immediately called his great aunt who was overjoyed by the prospect of being in his wedding. She’d even loaned Orly an old pearl necklace that had been passed down to her by her grandmother. That had started the whole wedding tradition thing. Between Aunt Bea, Orly and Skyla, they had managed to acquire something old, which was the necklace, something borrowed, which was a dainty pair of butterfly earrings that Skyla swore brought her good luck, and something blue, a pale blue ribbon Skyla had that Orly weaved into her long, thick curls in a gorgeous, side-sweeping up-do.

They hadn’t followed the custom of not seeing each other before the wedding, but Luke wasn’t worried. Everything bad was behind them, and anything that lay ahead, they would handle together.

Everyone was laughing and talking when the magistrate came in and asked them to take their places. Caden stood up for Luke, and Skyla was Orly’s maid of honor. As they exchanged vows, Luke couldn’t help thinking how lucky he was to have found such an amazing woman to share his life with. Never in a million years could he have imagined the worst day of his life would lead to the best day of his life.

“I couldn’t be happier for you two,” Caden said after the ceremony. “But seeing as how you put all this together in just four hours, you can understand that I’ll need a little more time to find you a gift.”

Orly stepped away from Luke and hugged Caden. “You being here is gift enough. I’m just so happy everyone could make it on such short notice,” she said looking at all their friends.

She turned to Luke, her eyes lit up with joy. He pulled her into his arms, and kissed her, not caring that all his friends were watching. This was a moment Luke wanted to remember for the rest of his life.

“I still can’t believe Luke Harmon tied the knot, and with a superhero no less,” Blake said.

Everyone laughed, and Orly blushed at Blake’s reference. “Stop embarrassing my wife, Blake,” Luke teased. My wife. The words flowed off his tongue like honey and tasted just as sweet.
