Kiana’s hand slipped down Dev’s flat belly to circle his arousal. “I vote for whatever.”

They spent the next thirty minutes whatevering until they both were thoroughly satisfied. For the moment.

They lay side by side, recovering from their workout, when Dev’s stomach rumbled.

When Kiana’s echoed in response, she pressed her hand to her stomach and laughed. “Food might be a good idea.

He sat up immediately. “I’m glad you said that. I wasn’t going to mention it until you did.”

She frowned. “Why were you waiting for me?”

“I didn’t want you to think I couldn’t go the distance.” He winked and slapped her bare ass playfully. “Come on. I saw eggs in the refrigerator and a coffeemaker. We can be fed and on the road in no time.”

“Take me to your coffee machine,” she said and rolled out of the bed. She walked naked across the room, using her modeling strut. When she stopped to look over her shoulder to gauge Dev’s reaction, she was startled to find him directly behind her. “Geez, how did I not hear you move?”

Herined. “SEAL training.” His hands settled on her hips, pulling her back against his hard cock. “I couldn’t resist the sway of your hips.” He nuzzled the side of her neck, his hands smoothing up her torso to cup her breasts.

She leaned back, giving him better access to kiss her cheek. “Mmm. I could skip the eggs as long as I can take a cup of coffee to go.”

Dev turned her in his arms. “I could make love with you all day.”

Kiana sighed. “I do like the sound of that, but...”

“We need to find your friend.”

She nodded. “A shower, eggs and coffee. Then we hit the road. I hope Mr. Akana has some information that will help.”

Kiana dressed quickly, stealing glances at Dev as he pulled on his jeans.

The man had a beautiful body, with not an ounce of fat anywhere to be seen. And she’d seen it all. Her core still radiated with the heat he’d stirred inside her.

She’d never felt this sexually excited with any other man she’d been with. Not that she’d been with many. Carl had been her longest relationship. They’d been together for three years.

Even after he’d asked her to marry him, he’d insisted they maintain separate residences until they married, which had made it easier for him to end the engagement. She hadn’t had to move her things out of his apartment. She’d only left a few articles of clothing, a toothbrush and some cosmetics there for when she’d stayed the occasional night.

Carl had shipped her things in a box without taking time to make sure her cosmetics wouldn’t leak or break. The box had arrived with a broken bottle of lotion spilled over one of her favorite blouses. She’d tossed it all in the trash. That night, she’d applied for a job on Maui at the resort; the next day, she’d gotten the call to interview. She’d packed everything she’d owned into two suitcases, left her furniture to Tish and Meredith and had moved to Maui, determined to stay whether she got the job or not.

That had been over two years ago. She hadn’t dated, hadn’t wanted to and had kept men at arm’s length.

“I’ll get the coffee brewing while you’re finishing up in here,” Dev said and left the room.

Kiana’s gaze followed him out the door as she worked the tangles out of her long hair with the brush she’d brought with her. She quickly twisted her long hair into one long braid down her back. After she pulled on her shoes, she grabbed her purse and followed her nose to the kitchen and the coffee.

“Scrambled or fried?” Dev asked with two eggs in his hands, poised over a small skillet.

“Scrambled,” she said and made a beeline to the coffeemaker.

“I found a loaf of bread in the freezer and popped a couple of pieces into the toaster.” As if on cue, the toast popped up. “I timed that announcement perfectly.” He set the toast on a small plate next to the stove.

Kiana grinned and maintained her vigil over the coffee pot. When the last drop fell into the carafe, she poured two cups of the steaming brew and carried them over to where Dev stirred fluffy yellow eggs around in the pan.

“Did you want milk or sugar in yours?” she asked as she held out a mug to him.

“No way.” He took the coffee and inhaled the steam. “I like mine hot and black. No frills.”

“Me, too.” She sipped, careful not to burn her tongue.

He grinned over the rim of his mug. “You’re not a caramel latte with whipped cream kind of girl?”
