“Once we meet, Rocko will let us know,” Silas said. “We’ll move into position and wait for midnight when the drugs will be delivered.”

“While the Demons are taking up their positions, we’ll move into place.”

“You’re insane.”

Dev’s gaze pinned on Silas. “No, we’re Navy SEALs.”

The man’s eyes widened. “No shit?”

“He is,” George tipped his head toward Dev, then lifted a hand. “Marine Force Recon.”

“Delta Force,” Rex said.

“Delta Force,” Logan echoed.

“So, you see,” Dev said. “Your little gang doesn’t scare us. And we don’t give two shits about the drugs. We want to find Kiana’s friend. If this drug exchange leads us to the man who’s dealing it, we’ll find our girl.”

Silas nodded. “My brother was a Ranger in the Army. He died in Iraq.”

“How would he feel if he knew what you were doing?” Kiana asked.

Silas hung his head. “He’d kick my ass.” The man lifted his chin. “Get my girl and kid out, and I’ll make that meeting.”

“Where will we find them?” George asked.

Silas gave him the address.

“You’ll understand if we hold onto you until we have them safely away, won’t you?” Dev said.

Silas nodded. “I expected that.”

George nodded to Rex.

Rex nodded. “We came together in the van.”

“Take my rental. It’s parked at the side of the building.” Dev dug keys out of his pocket and tossed them to Rex.

Rex caught them, left the circle and jogged around the corner of the building.

“In the meantime,” Dev said, “let’s get out of here before the police follow up on reports that people heard gunfire.”

George gripped Silas’s arm. “We can take him. I got a van.”

“Perfect,” Dev said, walking on the other side of Silas. He reached out a hand to Kiana. “I’ll take that.”

She handed over the pistol, glad to have it off her hands.

Silas ground to a halt. “I can’t leave my motorcycle. Someone will steal it.”

Logan grinned. “I’ll follow on the bike.”

“Where are we going?” Kiana asked.

“We rented a small office building not far from here,” George said. “We’ll hold him there until Rex returns with his family.”

“Silas, will your girl and child go with a stranger?”

“If you give me my cell phone, I can call her and let her know,” he said.
