“We definitely don’t have enough time to go another round, so don’t get me going,” she whined, making me chuckle.

It was a vivid red silk maxi dress. The front was conservative enough with spaghetti straps, but she wasn’t wearing a bra, and I could see the outline of her beautiful breasts and nipples. “Cory? Does it look bad?” she asked quietly.
Will you fucking go take her before you hurt her feelings? Tenoch was trying to push forward again. I opened my mouth but closed it again, my brain unable to formulate words.
“I can change. I brought my own dress, but Adrien said Zi ratted me out that I don’t have anything fancy like what we needed for tonight,” she said, looking down and trying to smooth non-existent wrinkles from the dress, but all it did was make the slit on her side open and giving me a bigger view of her leg.
Before I could make my mouth work, there was a knock on the door, and I heard Evie invite Adrien and Elias in while I continued to stare at her body draped in red silk.
“I think I need to go change,” she said quietly when Elias and Adrien were inside.
“Don’t you fucking dare! You look amazing!” Adrien growled. “Why would you want to change?”
“He hasn’t said anything since he saw me in it,” Evie said in that same quiet sad voice, pointing to me. Adrien and Elias turned around, and a smirk formed on Adrien’s face while Elias chuckled at whatever they saw on my face.
“Oh Evie, can’t you tell? That boy loves it so much, you’ve broken his ability to function.”
I growled lowly, then cleared my throat, forcing my eyes from Evie.
“Adrien...” I rasped.
“Yes, Alpha?” he asked with a knowing smile.
“Please tell me you bought her one in every fucking color that exists,” I pleaded, my voice coming out a little strangled. Evie’s face turned the same color of her dress, and Elias started chuckling in earnest.
“Of course, I did. Don’t doubt my fashion intelligence. That dress was made for her, and she could murder a whole pack without anyone lifting a finger to stop her in it.” All I could do was nod vehemently.
“Alright, well, as much as I’m enjoying seeing Cory behaving like a horny teenager for once, we need to get going if we want to eat,” Adrien said, snapping me out of my lust fog. I grabbed the bag of potions Aunt Kassie gave me and passed one to each of us. After a few moments, when everyone downed the bitter substance, I felt Adrien opening a mind-link with all of us.
‘Testing, testing. one two three,’ he said, making me roll my eyes.
‘It works. Let’s go eat,’ Evie answered.
We walked to the restaurant on the strip called Picasso, where Adrien had made reservations for tonight. I’d never been here, but I’d studied Picasso, and the colorful, elegant décor definitely fit the name well. The food was probably some of the best I’d eaten in my life, and yet...
‘Adrien, you know I’m an alpha werewolf, right?’
‘Of course...’
‘How is this supposed to fill me?’ I demanded to know when the roasted pigeon was placed in front of me.
‘We’re keeping up appearances. I’ve got burgers for all of us waiting in the limo that will take us to the casino,’ Adrien explained, rolling his eyes but smiling politely at the man placing his lobster main course in front of him. We weren’t taking chances that people weren’t following us after we received the invitation to the high roller’s room. It wasn’t standard for Vegas, but these guys weren’t standard, and I’m sure some guards might recognize werewolves. Elias and Adrien may not have the typical build for a werewolf since they weren’t born one, but were gifted a rare opportunity to become one couple decades ago. That didn’t mean that other supernaturals wouldn’t recognize what they were now. I, on the other hand, had the typical build for a high-ranking wolf. I’d been wearing black and trying to dim my aura as much as possible so I could at least pass for a lower-ranked wolf or warrior.
