When I turned back around, I saw Helios leading a petite woman with sandy blonde hair tied up in a ponytail. Kara’s growl burst from me, and I rushed at the woman behind all of these tragedies and slammed her against the wall by the throat.

She cried out and scratched at my hands in panic.

“You? How fucking dare you? How fucking could you? After everything Helios did for you, Janet?” I growled.

“Luna Celeste,” she coughed, scratching at my hands. “I can’t breathe. Please, I don’t know who Janet is. My name is Judy. Judy Martinez. Please,” she begged, her face turning red. I turned to look at Theo, a moment of indecision in my actions.

“She knows her name is Janet,” he said, disbelief in his eyes as he looked at the woman I was holding.

I growled and threw her against the opposite wall, watching her hit the fireplace mantel and crumble in a heap of limbs to the ground.

“Why? After everything Helios did to save you? He gave you a new life not once but twice. You repay him by betraying us to his worst enemy?” I began walking toward her, barely able to keep myself from rushing at her again and killing her. Hurt, anger and betrayal tasted like bile in my throat.

Janet coughed as she struggled to sit up. Then that cough turned into a laugh, and I stopped.

“Saved me? You destroyed my life and the life of my pup! You killed his father!” she spat at me, and I cocked my head to the side, confused once again.

“What the fuck are you talking about?” I asked. “I never did anything to you.”

“Lies! You killed my pup’s father. You sent me away and erased my memories, denying my pup his birthright. He should be alpha, and I should’ve been a luna.”

Everyone in the room looked as confused as I felt.

“Where the fuck did you hear that? I thought you regained your memories?” I asked, and she scoffed.

“The memories you erased? They’re impossible to retrieve,” she growled.

“I erased them, actually. Or a brujo(witch) did it on my command if we’re being specific,” Helios answered, and confusion flashed through Janet for a moment before it hardened again.

“I was Geoff’s mate. I carried his child. I was supposed to be his luna and my son, the next alpha of Blood Moon. You both took us from him and killed him,” she seethed.

“Who told you that exactly?” I asked, my anger taking a small reprieve as I pieced together the information she was giving me.

“Nickolas. He found me. He was friends with my mate and offered to help me get revenge for the life you took away from me!” Janet pushed to a standing position but didn’t move. Not like she could. She was surrounded.

I processed her words, and I couldn’t help it; I started laughing.

“Goddess, you’re just as stupid as he was. Maybe you really were Geoff’s mate.”

“Laugh all you want. You took my life, and I am taking yours, one pup at a time,” she mocked.

That was the wrong answer. My laughter ended, and I picked her up and slammed her against the mantel, relishing the sound of her spine cracking into tiny pieces.

“I’m going to say this once because I’m going to give you an opportunity to choose a fast death after I’m done.” I growled at her. “I. Did. Nothing. To. You.” I snarled every word. “This tale of yours, I bet you never even thought to verify it. If you’d checked, you would see that Alpha Goeff thought you were worth less than the shits he took after dinner.” I threw her against the opposite wall before she could heal her broken spine, then picked her up by the hair again.

“You were nothing but a quick fuck for Alpha Geoff. When you got pregnant, his luna beat you to near death, and then sold you in the black market.”

“Liar,” she choked out the whisper.

“Liar? Didn’t you ever wonder where the scars on your back and arms came from?” I asked before I threw her against the back of the couch.

“You,” she coughed up some blood. “You gave them to me.”

I laughed, pulled the back of my shirt up, and turned around for her.

“Did I do these to myself, too?” I asked her, showing her the scars that still shone on my back. When I saw her eyes widen as she looked at my back, which showed the torture I endured for her and every other Omega unfortunate enough to live in that pack whenever I could. I dropped my shirt and picked her up again.

“I’ll tell you who you really are. Your name is Janet. Last name unknown or no one gave a shit enough to know. You had the misfortune of being born an Omega in Blood Moon. You were considered less than a dog. You were starved, beaten, and fucked by the alpha of the pack behind his luna’s back. You fell pregnant, and because your pup was a danger to the bastard child Luna Luisa tried to pass as Alpha Geoff’s, she beat you and sold you along with some of my pack members,” I growled out at her only for her to shake her head in denial.
