She nodded and then turned away, going with Lexi towards the portal point.

Soren exhaled. “What now?”

“Now we have to prepare for what’s next. Apollo is a part of it, but there is more. Earth herself is unhappy. And we have to deal with her along with everything else.”

“Sounds like a lot.” He pulled me into him, kissing the top of my head.

“It is. And in the meantime, we need to have our formal mating ceremony and have you recognized by the coven as a witch.” I grinned up at him.

My mate smirked back. “The mating I'm all up for. As for joining the coven, I am not sure what to do about that yet. I don’t think I will be here on Earth enough of the time. I mean, I'm going to remain by your side, no matter where you are. Our time of being separated is officially over.”

Something thrilled in me. I knew I would always be connected to Soren. He was my true mate. But hearing how willing he was to stay by my side made my heart beat faster. I wanted a relationship like what Holden and Shane had. Similar to what Tessa and Mercer had. Or even Baron and Miranda.

I wanted that with him.

He grinned down at me. “We are a pair, Lily. We have always been, since we first met. It didn’t even matter I was younger than you then. And now—” His eyes twinkled while he waggled his eyebrows. “Now we can take it to the natural conclusion.”

I laughed at him, turning to move into the house. “Holden! Want to plan a mating? No, two!”

Lark followed us in, grinning. “Oh, please, Mama Holden. Let’s have a ceremony for all of us!”

Lexi appeared behind us. “What is that? A mating ceremony?”

I nodded and she grinned, delight filling her face.

"Everything okay?" I whispered to her, wanting to make sure that Apemosyne was fine.

"Yep!" Lexi whispered back.

I guess Apemosyne liked the cave. We would have to go later with supplies, but I am sure she would be fine for now.

Soren answered his sister's first question after she had reappeared. “Yes. I think it would be grand to plan our mating ceremony. Finally!"

Lexi giggled, stopping to turn and peer down the hill where the peace guardians were milling about. “Hey, Betta. We are going to have mating ceremonies for Soren and I. Want to make it official with the big guy?”

Soren

I halted, staring at my sister before my gaze went to my other sibling.

Betta froze, surprise filling her face. She slowly turned her head to stare up at Stet. He smiled down at her, his face full of love.

She whipped around and shouted, “Yes!” Grabbing his hand, she pulled him up the hill to the house. Lexi laughed and ran down to her and the two sisters hugged, rushing up to the house, leaving her mate to make his way up on his own.

Lexi and Betta snatched Lily away from me and ran. They all entered the kitchen, giggling and whispering about their wishes for their mating ceremonies.

“We are in trouble, aren’t we?” Stet stopped next to me.

Lark snorted. “Of course we are. They are going to plan something grand when something simple would work just as well.”

I grinned at them. “In reality, all we have to do is show up. Go where they tell us to. Say what they want us to say. Then we eat, dance, and finally be able to reach the best part of the night.”

Lark chuckled. “Do we have enough mating cabins? I think Shane only has one. Maybe two.”

Stet shrugged. “I would take Betta back to my world. We have to register our bonding there, according to the laws of my people.”

“One couple could stay here at Alemos.” I grinned at the Gatekeeper.

Lark's hand shot up into the air. “Dibs.”
