Watching the red rivulets track a path along his chest and ripped abs has me transfixed, and it takes everything in me to not tackle Cole to the ground and fuck him six ways to Sunday. Cole stares at me with the same desire reflecting in his eyes. His tongue darts out to clean his lips of blood and it breaks me of my stare. I have to taste it, to replace his tongue with mine.

He must have the same idea because we start for each other at the same time. Our mouths meet in a fury of teeth and clashing tongues. His hands move into my damp hair, fisting the back of my neck to hold me to him. The delicious smoothness of blood has our skin gliding against each other. It makes me wonder how much better it will feel when we add in slick sweat from fucking for hours.

Cole lifts me and I wrap my legs around his waist, but within seconds we are hit with a cold rush of water. “Enough of that,” Vander shouts over the sound of the spray. Much to my disappointment, Vander rinses all the blood off.

“Why did you do that?” I growl. I really wanted to have more fun with Cole while we were covered, to draw shapes on his skin in between his tattoos.

Vander rolls his eyes like I should already know the answer. “You made the pussy piss in your brother’s car. I won’t be responsible for getting blood in it too.” Fucking party pooper. Vander is always putting a stop to the fun when he isn’t involved. My poor jealous man.

Cole puts me down and boops my nose. His mood has vastly improved with being able to work through whatever had him fucked up. “Time for the cleanup portion of our fun. Rule number ten, Luv.” My head jerks up with him mentioning the rules Ravenmaster has been giving me.

But he’s not the one who says the next one, it’s Jasper. “Make sure to clean your workroom when you’re done.” He walks up and hands me a wet rag and the bat. “Hold it up for me,” he instructs before spraying it with bleach. I clean off the blood and glance around the room at the destruction surrounding me. Okay maybe not destruction, but there’s certainly a shit ton of blood sprayed everywhere from where it flung off the bat.

Jasper and Cole work together to carry the busted piñata to a tarp spread out on the ground. He was already rinsed off when Vander hit us with the hose. “Good job implementing rule number nine,” Vander says in my ear. He totally snuck up on me. Now all three of them have mentioned the rules, throwing me off on who Ravenmaster could be. What the fuck.

“Why are they rolling his body in the tarp? Don’t you have a fancy disposal method here?” I question. It’s the mob. Surely they kill enough people to need something like that.

“Of course we do,” Vander confirms. “But we were instructed to send a message. The message wasn’t for Anthony, it’s for everyone else the family works with. You can’t steal from us and expect to keep your life. We have to drop him off where he can be found.”

“What?” I whip around to face him. “There could be evidence on him.”

“Do you think your men would let his body out of here if we didn’t have that covered?” he asks, tucking a lock of wet hair around my ear.

“I suppose not.”

Vander leans in and sneaks a quick kiss before I realize what he’s doing. It leaves me warm and tingly, which irritates me because I still haven’t forgiven him.

Chapter 18

Raven

Ravenmaster: I’m glad you put the plug back in.

Raven: I bet you are. You’ve been having plenty of fun with it.

Ravenmaster: You make it sound like you aren’t.

Raven: I didn’t say that… I love having my ass played with.

Ravenmaster: Just wait until we tag team you.

I glance around the SUV trying to catch whoever is texting me right now with their phone out. But there isn’t a single device in sight. I’ve convinced myself my stalker has been one of them, but maybe I’m wrong… or there could be a mystery man still out there.

Grayson squeezes my thigh when I scoot toward Jasper where I’m sandwiched between the two. My blue eyed peacekeeper turns his gaze to me, a slight smile instantly gracing his lips at gaining my attention. “Yes, Little Bird?”

He wraps his arm around me and pulls me into his side. “Is Ravenmaster in the car right now?” I keep my voice low, not wanting the others to overhear and try to stop him from giving me any information.

That damn smile turns into a taunt as it gets bigger and his dimple pops out. “Trying to get hints?”

I roll my eyes, irritated that he isn’t giving me a straight answer. It’s not like I asked him to reveal exactly who it is. “Jasper,” I hiss, shoving my elbow in his ribs.

A chuckle rolls from his lips when I end up more injured than him. “Yes, he is.” I glance at each man again, even giving Grayson a suspicious once over. He raises an eyebrow at me, not knowing why I’m looking at him this way.

“Is there a mystery man who isn’t in the car right now?” I ask next. There’s a sparkle in his eyes, and I know he’s thinking about fucking with me. “No! Don’t even think about it. You owe me a direct answer on this one.”

“If you think Cole could handle sharing you with one more person—He might be okay with sharing, but he’s gotten more territorial since fucking you. I think that’s when he closed off being tolerant to you adding more to our ranks.” Once again, I’m surprised with how much Jasper knows. He’s way more observant than he lets on. Then again, Cole has been showing his true colors more and more…

So how the fuck is he able to text me without his phone being out?
