The command washes over me, but instead of being forced to comply, the pill Emmett gives me daily allows me to make the choice for myself. Since Jedrik said it with care in his tone, my eyelids flutter open, finding his deep blue gaze darkened with desire capturing mine. The sigh he releases brushes against my lips, and he rests his forehead against mine.

Something has definitely shifted between us. The animosity he seemed to hold for me has disappeared, in its place is someone who acts like I’m his. I’m liking this version of the grumpy twin.

“I didn’t mean anything by the question.” He presses a quick kiss to my lips before continuing. “I like that you want something of mine in your nest. If you’d like us to leave, we can. I’m only curious about how you got it.”

I glance at my handiwork. It’s certainly not the quality I’d want in my permanent nest. The pillows and blankets are pilfered from the surrounding rooms and certainly aren’t aesthetically pleasing. They clash with the cushions we added back to the couch. This is mostly a comfort build.

“Since Rosey dresses all of you, she turns a blind eye when I steal something you’ve worn for my nest.” I hold a finger to my lips. “Shh, don’t tell on me.”

Andrik chuckles. “Don’t worry, it’s too cute to turn you in. Although… maybe handcuffs shouldn’t be taken off the table permanently.”

The thought has heat licking up my spine. Who knew I’d be into handcuffs?

Apparently, I’m too distracted because Jedrik asks, “Would you like us to leave?”

When I take too long to respond, trying to articulate what I want, he says, “We should go. We don’t want to pressure you into something you aren’t ready for.”

He must think I want them to leave, and I’m finding it difficult to tell them. But the thing is, the idea of having them in my nest is more appealing than it should be. Thoughts of keeping them here permanently flash through my mind.

“No!” I shout, wanting to stop them from moving away from me. I wince at how loud it is. “Please, don’t. I want…” I trail off, a sudden shyness coming over me, but my pears plume around us, saying it all for me.

The twins’ nostrils flare as they scent it. “What do you want, Precious?” Andrik asks, his fingertips trailing soothing lines along my arms, causing goosebumps to rise. A shiver of lust rolls through me, craving more.

“Tell us, Trouble. It’s obvious you want something.”

Taking a deep breath—which does nothing but further implant their cinnamon-maple yumminess into my nostrils—I prepare myself for their rejection. “Would you mark a pillow with your scents?” I bite my bottom lip, vulnerability making me feel tingly all over.

A brilliant smile takes over Jedrik’s face. His thumb pulls my lip from my punishing teeth and he sucks the sensitive flesh into his mouth before kissing me. It’s as passionate as when he pinned me against the bedroom door and ends sooner than I’d like. Heat warms my body, my thighs squeezing together with the ache he inspired.

“I’d love to,” he tells me.

As if finishing his brother’s thought, Andrik says, “Do you have a specific one you’d like Jed and me to mark?”

Ryland already has the pillows I want them to mark in hand, ready to pass out. I’ve probably made at least one comment every day about how my nest could be made better, including where I wanted to add the toasty spices, smoky maple, and caramel. I even told him about the dark chocolate that’s missing.

Andrik notices and grabs his right away, but Jedrik’s eyes are fixed on me. “Jed,” I rasp, gesturing to the pillow Ry is holding out. Jedrik grins at my sudden use of his brother’s nickname for him. I like it.

At the same time, the twins whip off their shirts and drop them to the ground—it’s like they rehearsed the movement for this exact moment—and reach for the pillows. They hug them to their chests, and the sight makes my mouth dry. I should’ve asked for this a long time ago. Nothing hotter than an alpha who jumps to please an omega he cares for.

After a moment, they move the pillows to their faces, rubbing against them as they purr to really get their scent in there good. Their pheromones purposefully plume, growing thicker with the amount of care they’re putting into it. It makes my heart melt, watching them with big smiles on their faces, helping to mark something for my nest. It proves they’re the right men for me. I really shouldn’t have been worried about them rejecting me when I asked.

When they hand them to me, I hold them both to my nose, burying my face between them. All the warm spices that go into a fall pie, mixed with sweet maple drizzle… I may have underestimated the power of them scenting something on purpose.

With a happy omega hum, I move to arrange the pillows onto the edge of my nest, ensuring the perfect position for maximum coverage. Something calms within me at the simple act. I want to smell my men from any position I might take up.

“Thank you.” The words come out breathier than I expected. It doesn’t come close to expressing my gratitude.

“You don’t need to thank us,” Andrik immediately responds.

“Told you if you asked, they’d give it to you without having to steal items with their scent,” Ry offers unhelpfully. I shoot him a death glare. Fucking dick. Good thing I love him too much to stay mad. Besides, I can never have enough items with their scent.

“You know I didn’t want anyone else to overhear.”

“Yeah, I know, Ver Bear.”

Jedrik glances between us and rolls his eyes. “Would you kiss her already? It’s not like we don’t know you’re fucking each other.”

“You don’t know that,” I object a little too quickly.
