Julia took my hand, brought it up to her lips and softly kissed my fingers. I didn’t want to spoil the moment by telling her she had quite a bit of gravy on her chin.
“Both of them Miss?”
“Yes. The phony public proposal and the real true private proposal.”
“Are you saying what I think you’re saying Miss Julia? Edward? That you two are really in love and you’re going to have a REAL wedding?”
“That’s right Nigel! Julia has agreed to be my real wife. She loves me and I am the luckiest man in the world!”
“No argument there! You definitely are! Well congratulations to you both!”
Nigel shook my hand. Then he bent over, kissed Julia on the cheek and wiped her chin with a napkin.
