“I’m very well aware, Chase,” she snapped. “I’m just as desperate for a night alone. Even more since…”
She trailed off, and her cheeks turned pink…I loved that she still blushed like that.
My eyes narrowed because I’d come to recognize when my wife attempted to keep secrets from me.
“Just this once, will you wait instead of badgering me?” she whined with a cute little pout.
Suddenly, my gaze dropped to her chest again. Her tits had become fuller—and more sensitive—after she got pregnant with Zade. Something I took advantage of whenever I had the chance.
I wasn’t sure how I’d missed it, looking at them now. They had grown again like they did anytime she was knocked up or nursing.
“You’re pregnant?” I blurted out with a giant smile.
“One time!” she growled. “Just one time, I wanted to surprise you!”
I laughed because it was unlikely for that to ever happen. I knew every single inch of Jenna’s body better than I knew my own. When she was pregnant, the changes were fast and obvious…to me.
“Maybe next time,” I offered.
Her eyes grew wide, and she took a step back. “Next time?”
Grinning, I sauntered past her, headed toward the kids’ rooms to make sure they were ready to go when her parents arrived.
“Chase,” she hissed as she tugged at the back of my sweater. “Next time?”
Stopping in my tracks, I turned and drew her into my arms. “Remember our bet, sunshine?” I gloatingly reminded her.
Jenna sighed. “When are you going to tell me how many kids we’re having?”
I winked at her before brushing my lips against hers, then whispered, “When we’re done, sunshine.”
