Her chuckle radiates through me as she replies, “Yeah, that’s her.”
The thick tone of her sleepy voice is sexy as hell, and I pray she doesn’t feel the involuntary twitch in my pants.
“And that dude, where do I know him from?” I keep my voice low, removing my hands from her shoulders.
“Casey Jones. Ninja Turtles,” she answers on a yawn as my arms cocoon around her.
Her head nestles onto my chest, and my heart beats heavily as the weight of her body increases on mine. I roll her to the side as her breathing settles into a rhythmic pattern, pulling my leg and arm from beneath her to lie next to her.
I cover us with a blanket and wrap my arm around her as my eyes grow heavy, my body spooning hers. I’ve never felt more at peace than I do with her in my arms, and it doesn’t take long for sleep to start pulling me under.
Lizzy snuggles further into my body, my name passing through her lips in a soft moan. It all feels like a beautiful dream.
One I never want to wake from.
