“Good god, you’re so fucking beautiful.” Brenden’s hand trails down my naked body, leaving goose bumps in its wake.

My back arches, every inch of me quaking with need. His hand settles between my thighs, his mouth wrapping around my nipple.

“Brenden,” I say, my voice pleading as my hand dives into his thick hair, “I want you. All of you. Please.”

He raises his head, his twinkling eyes meeting mine as a smile spreads across his face. “I don’t think I’ll ever tire of hearing you say you want me.” He positions himself between my legs, leaning down to nibble on my neck. “All of me, you say?” His whispered words tickle the sensitive skin on my neck before he meets my gaze again.

“Yes,” I pant, lifting my hips until his hardness glides across my slick opening.

He closes his eyes and moans, biting into his lower lip. He opens his eyes as he grinds into me, the intensity of his stare nearly setting my body on fire.

“Ask and you shall receive, beautiful.” He reaches for the foil packet on the nightstand, his eyes never leaving mine as he rolls the contents over his length. My legs wrap around him once our bodies are lined up again, every part of me eager to feel him inside of me.

“There’s no turning back after this, Lizzy.” His husky voice is mixed with warning and questioning.

“Good.” I grab his face and pull it down until his lips meet mine, gasping as he slides inside of me.

The sound of a phone ringing pulls me from sleep, causing my eyes to shoot open and dart around the room.

It takes me a moment to remember I’m in Brenden’s hotel room. My body—which is still nude, sore, and completely satiated—tells me it hadn’t merely been a dream this time.

I slept with Brenden last night, and I’m certain there isn’t a single inch of my body he hasn’t already touched or kissed in some capacity. Not that I’m complaining. Every second of it was remarkable.

Last night felt like my first time all over again. Brenden was delicate and slow in the beginning, giving my body time to adjust to his presence. By the end of the night, it seemed as though he knew my body better than I did. Every part of me sang his praises as he coaxed orgasm after orgasm from me, leaving me spent in the best possible way.

My gaze flickers to the other side of the bed as the ringing sounds again. Brenden isn’t there, and my body tenses until I hear the shower running.

I stretch and sit up, picking up the ringing phone on the nightstand. “Hello?”

“Oh my god!” Julianna squeals. “I can’t believe you two finally did it.”

“Oh, crap, is it time to go?” I croak, avoiding her comment as my face flames.

“We need to leave in two hours, but don’t go changing the subject on me. I need to know how it was. I bet it was amazing.” She sighs.

I scoff. “I’m so not answering that question.”

“Fine. Does this at least mean the two of you are going to stop pretending you’re just friends?”

My breath stills as I consider her question. Does last night mean we’re something more than friends? Is that what I want?

I’m not even sure that’s something he wants. There wasn’t a lot of discussion before things got started.

“I have to go,” I rush as I hear Brenden turn off the shower. “I’ll be over there in a few minutes to shower and get ready.” Without waiting for her response, I hang up the phone.

Brenden steps out of the bathroom, only a grin on his face and towel around his waist. “Good morning, darling.”

My mouth waters as I take him in, my heart racing with the aching need between my thighs. Our bodies were so in tune with each other last night, it was like doing a well-rehearsed dance.

“I assume the rule about not being able to give you pet names no longer applies.” He winks, allowing his towel to drop.

“That’s awfully presumptuous of you,” I tease, narrowing my eyes at him. “No one said anything has changed between us.”

Who am I kidding? Last night changed everything. We can never go back to being friends. The only choice from here is to either move forward or move on.
