“But you don’t even know why I said it,” she protested. “I could have a perfectly good reason.”

“All right. Why did you say it?”

She groaned and dropped her head back. At least they had a table at the rear of the restaurant where it was darker. So hopefully, no one was looking at her making a fool of herself.

Remy had picked her up in his big truck about an hour ago. Loki hadn’t been home when she’d left, but she understood that even if it upset her.

She wore a pale pink dress that ended just above her knees. It was tiered with a sweetheart neckline. She’d paired it with her favorite cowboy boots that had a pink lace insert along the side.

Loki had bought her these boots.

Shoot. Stop, you idiot.

“I don’t want to tell you that,” she finally told him.

What else could she say? That she’d been thinking of ways to convince him and Loki to share her?

Yeah. Nope.

Not happening.

She dropped her head, her gaze hitting his face. He didn’t look happy.

Remy narrowed his eyes. “You don’t want to tell me. But you did call yourself a selfish bitch. Which is against the rules. How do you think we should deal with that?”

“I don’t think I have rules.”

“We all have rules, baby. It’s just that you have someone to enforce them. If you agree to that sort of power exchange, that is.”

“I don’t think I can do that right now.”

He nodded, not looking surprised. “I want to push you, but I also don’t want to lose you.”

God. He said all the right things. She wanted to say yes. To have another date. That she wanted to enter into the sort of relationship he was talking about.

One where she let someone else see her Little. Someone who would understand.

She wondered what he would be like in bed. Definitely dominant. Completely in charge.

Oh God. She was getting turned on. She pressed her legs together. He was gazing at her expectantly and she needed to get this chat back on track.

Before he realized she was freaking horny!

This was so embarrassing.

“Lose me?” she asked.

He shrugged. “It could happen. I know I’m lucky I got you to agree to this. At first, I thought you didn’t want me . . .”

“It’s not that.”

This time, his smile was filled with heat. “Always nice to hear.”

“It’s just, it’s complicated.”

“I know it is. Isa?”

“Yeah?” She glanced up from her wine, which she had yet to touch to look at him.
