“We have to figure this out.” Hunter urged. “We have to put a stop to this.”

I tried to swallow the scream trapped in my throat and forced myself to nod instead. My steps were achingly slow as I made my way back to them. Riven couldn’t even look at me. He just stood there, his hands fisted against his sides.

I forced myself to look at the map once more. My gaze skimmed over the name again. It was that puncturing agony in my chest all over again…until my gaze moved to the symbol drawn in the corner.

A swirling pyramid I’d seen before. “I know that symbol.” I said, my memories flooding back to me. “I saw it on the guard’s shirt…and I remember it from a new compound my father oversaw years ago. They had this exact same symbol printed on the gates of the compound.

“Do you think you could remember where this was?” Riven lifted those unflinching eyes to mine.

I gave a nod. “I think so…yeah.”

As I stared at the symbol, I knew without a doubt that was where Hale had hidden from the rest of the world…

Him and the Sons of The Order.

“Then we make the calls so London, the Banks’ and we go after the fucker.” Riven answered. “We blow him and his compound off the face of this earth.”

Hope rose inside me.

This time there was no bait.

This time we stayed together.

And ended this once and for all.
