I slowly get up as he sits down on the edge of the bed and I notice he’s pulled his boxers on.

“Don’t the two of you want to join me?”

Dimitri goes to say something, but Donovan cuts him off. “Nah, darlin’. We can shower after we take care of your ex. I cannae go on with you staying here alone without some type of protection against him.”

“Okay.” I leave the room, hearing their hushed voices behind me. I don’t have to hear the exact words to know they’re talking about me.

Four hours later, I’m starving, but I have a temporary restraining order in hand as we walk out of the courthouse. The magistrate made it very clear that it was only temporary, pending the results of the court's investigation, and it had to be served to Lionel.

That part didn’t put me at ease, but the older man guaranteed it would still protect me. In ten days, I will learn if it becomes permanent or not.

God, I hope so!

Donovan and Dimitri take me to a little bistro down the road, and we have a late breakfast. As much as they hate leaving me today, they need to go to work and handle things and I have no plans after breakfast.

Nothing to do but relax. Something I’m not sure exactly how to do. I love working and keeping busy. Taira sent me a new book she started reading, begging me to buddy read with her. I could catch up to where she’s at so we could talk about it.

“What are you thinking about?” Dimitri bumps my shoulder, then picks up his coffee, taking a sip.

“It’s stupid, but I was thinking about how I’m going to miss the two of you today.”

“I don’t think it’s stupid, Alex. The thought of my woman missing me is hot.” He leans over, running his tongue along my bottom lip, before kissing me gently. “Yum, maple.”

I blush as my mind runs through scenarios of other places he could lick the maple syrup from.

“Any plans today, Alex?” Donovan asks, looking at me with heat in his eyes. I think he liked watching Dimitri lick my lips a little too much.

“Just relaxing at home. Nothing else.” I laugh. Maybe a day of being lazy is just what the doctor ordered.

“And tonight?” Donovan asks.

I bite my lip as I look up through my lashes. “Depends on what two extremely handsome men want to do?”

“Well, I for one, would say they’re gonnae want tae spend it with you. Maybe have you over at one of theirs since they slept at yours last night.” Donovan winks.

“I think I’d like that.”

I clench my legs together, thinking about the naughty things we’ll do tonight.

We spend the rest of our meal laughing and figuring out which one of the guys' houses we’ll be at.

They wanted me to choose and I couldn’t, so we left it up to a good old coin toss.

Dimitri won.

I’m curious as hell to see what his place looks like. Since he owns a bar, is it kind of like that? Pool table in the living room? Bean bag chairs?

For that matter, what does Donovan’s home look like? Is it a gym? Full of weight benches and stuff like that.

Or am I totally off the mark with both of them?

Guess I’ll find out about Dimitri tonight.

When we’re done, Dimitri pays the bill, and then they both guide me out of the bistro to Dimitri’s car waiting on the curb. The hair on the back of my neck stands on end as an eerie chill runs down my spine.

I look around and nothing seems off. But I can’t shake the feeling that someone’s following me, watching me from a distance.

“You okay?” Donovan asks as he opens the passenger door for me.
