“I’m going to try,” I said, and speaking of which, if I was right about the correlation between my physical strength and my magical power, I needed to put in a big work out tonight.

Mason nodded.“That’s all we can ask.”

Leo swaggered back over to join us, a huge grin on his face.“Your dad is great.”

I couldn’t help the answering smile on my own lips.“I know.”

Leo and Mason stared at me for a little too long, and when the desire swirled without warning in my gut, I took a step toward the front door, thinking it was best they left.“I’m so glad you guys joined the gym.Means I have to hold up my end of the bargain.”

The guys followed me to the front door, but they still weren’t talking.

I chattered away, filling the intense silence.“Mom wants me to look at a spell book tomorrow with her, then...do you know when you can get your parents to come over so we can try and reverse the curse?”

Leo and Mason glanced at each other.

“Our parents check in with us every day, usually at sunset.”Mason glanced outside.“We’ve probably missed them tonight, but if we told them to be somewhere in a couple of days, at a certain time, they’d come.”

I nodded, worrying my bottom lip with my teeth.Mason’s gaze dropped to my mouth and held there.

Another hot flush of arousal washed over me, and I glanced away, ashamed at being so easily aroused by two men who would never go for a woman like me.“I’ll talk to Mom tomorrow, then we’ll set up a place and time to try the spell reversal.”

Leo pushed a business card at me.“We wrote our cell numbers on our gym forms, but if you need us, you can get us here.”

I took the card and stared down at the simple white card. Two names, two cell numbers and an email.“I’ll let you know as soon as Mom and I work out the best way to do this.”

“Thank you,” Leo whispered, stepped forward and kissed me on the cheek.

The touch of his lips on my skin made me shiver, and an involuntary gasp rose from my throat.

Mason growled and pushed his brother out of the way.The hairs on the back of my neck stood on end and I was frozen in place.Waiting to see what would happen next.

When Mason took my face in his hands, the world shifted on its axis and I knew things were never going to be the same again.

ChapterTen

MASON

My wolf snarled inside my mind when Leo kissed her cheek.Pushing my brother out of the way was the least violent thing I wanted to do to him.

But then I had my hands on my mate, cupping her face and lifting her chin so I could stare down into her beautiful brown eyes.I couldn’t look away, and despite my wolf growling his desperate desire to claim her, I stilled.Breathless with awe.

“God, you’re beautiful.”

Any fire and desire I’d seen in her eyes moments ago, disappeared like it had never been. She practically snarled at me as she stepped back.“You guys can leave.I’ll call you tomorrow when I know what’s going on.”

She marched past the reception desk and opened the glass door, waving at us to exit.

I stared at her, totally shocked.“What did I say?”

Her face hardened and her lips thinned.

She wasn’t going to explain, that was obvious.

I stumbled to the door, and she stepped back so I couldn’t touch her.

Leo followed closely behind me, ready to smooth the way.“We’ll call you tomorrow when we can talk to our parents.”

“Tania, I…” I reached out to her, wanting to fix whatever I’d accidentally broken.
