"It's great talking to you, Calla. How are things with you and Dom? You guys look super cute together."

"I guess he hasn't told you, then. He broke up with me a few weeks ago."
Vic's eyes went wide and her mouth fell open.
"What the hell?" She slapped her forehead. "Did something happen? Tell me the details of my dork brother." She rolled her eyes.
I told her everything. I told her that he told me he thought he loved me and then suddenly he closed up just before his trip to Somalia.
She shook her head.
"Yep, yep. Textbook dorkbrain."
I couldn't help but laugh.
"It's okay, Vic. I'm a firm believer that if someone doesn't want to be with you, then you shouldn't ever fight it. There's no point."
She sighed. "Well, when the other person has no clue how to have a relationship, then sometimes you just have to beat it into his brain. Don't worry, he will come to his senses."
"Don't say anything to him, okay? I don't want him to feel pressured. He has a lot of pressures on him. I mean, he's the most amazing man I've ever met."
"He's pretty amazing, but he's too logical and analytical. Maybe you've noticed."
I laughed. It felt good to laugh, honestly. It's been a while.
She looked straight into the camera. "I promise I won't say anything. But if he doesn't come to his senses after a while, I might. But I'll hold back."
"Thank you. I'm doing fine and I appreciate your support – emotionally and for this marketing stuff. It's been really fun."
"Well, you're welcome, and it's fun for me to see your ideas. Same time next week?"
"Can't wait. Thanks, Vic."
The day wore on, but it was a great day. The meeting with Vic put me in a great mood and I felt like I could take on the world. Well, especially since Dom wasn't around. It was the lift I needed.
I was in the perfect mood for a girls' night.
