Just when I think I might come undone, Leo withdraws his fingers. He pushes me forward and I feel the head of his cock rub against me. I hold my breath.

Leo’s cock enters me slowly, filling me up. It’s warm, heating up my insides as he stretches me. He didn’t put on a condom this time. I’m too far gone to care.

Suddenly, he stops. His hands grip my hips. Then he gives one push. His cock fills me to the brim and I gasp.

Before I can adjust, Leo grabs my arms, clutching them as he pounds into me. The sound of skin slapping against skin fills the room.

With my hands unable to dig into anything, I simply cry out from the pleasure of Leo’s thrusts. With each one, my breasts bounce. My breath leaves me. My body trembles as it tries to hold on to even an ounce of self-control.

Eventually, it fails. The storm of pleasure which I started takes me over. My body arches like a bow. My head drops back. My mouth gapes in a silent scream. My hands clench into fists.

And then I can’t feel my body at all.

But I can feel Leo’s body. I can feel his cock pushing inside me, throbbing inside me. Then I don’t.

It leaves me and quivers against my back. A warm puddle lands on my skin as his gasps for air tickle my shoulder.

Afterwards, he lets my arms go. I finally feel my legs again, so I get off him and sit on the couch. I stare at the ceiling as I catch my breath.

Now what?

Just then, I hear a knock on the door and a man’s voice.

“Leo?”

Shit. That must be the man who was calling, Leo’s replacement.

“Just a sec.” Leo grabs his pants.

I grab my clothes and run to the room. I’ll just come back for the flash drive and the password later.

“Hey,” Leo calls after me.

I stop and turn my head.

“You take care,” he says.

Why? Why does he look like he doesn’t want to leave and yet he’s leaving anyway?

“Don’t worry,” I tell him. “I can take care of myself.”

I go to my room and close the door behind me.

Chapter Fourteen

Leo

I open the door to the balcony and step out of the hotel room. There’s not much to see – just buildings all around, cars below, a few fresh clouds to replace the ones that caused that crazy downpour yesterday. I welcome the breeze and even the scent of tobacco riding on it from one of the nearby rooms. It reminds me that I haven’t had a smoke since I met Jodie.

Jodie.

She was definitely acting weird last night. I thought she hated me for leaving and then she went and seduced me. Not begging like the first time but demanding this time, using her words and her body. Then afterwards, she hated me again. She didn’t even ask me to stay.

I run my fingers through my hair as I let out a sigh.

Strange. Still, I’m glad I was able to see a new side of her. That naughty, bossy side. Who would have thought she had one? Well, I knew she was bossy. But naughty at the same time? I hated the blindfold, but I have to admit I loved Jodie’s confidence as she took control, her fierceness tempered by just a bit of playfulness.

A grin forms on my lips as I glance back into the room at the blue handkerchief that’s on the desk next to my phone.

What a woman.

Just then, my phone rings. I go back inside the room to pick it up. The name on the screen simply reads ‘D’.

Dino.

I forgot to tell him to stop investigating Bart’s death. I guess now’s my chance.

I answer the call. “Dino…”

“I was able to get into one of the cameras near that warehouse,” he reports proudly before I can say more. “All the footage up until a few days ago has been deleted and buried, and by someone who knows how, but I might still be able to recover it. It will just take me a few days. Do you want me to try?”

I pause. Dino can find out who was at that warehouse?

The fact that the footage was deleted means something happened there. Of course, it could be just one of the regular operations gone wrong. The darker side of the family business. But then why would Bart try to tell Jodie about it? Didn’t my father say he didn’t want Jodie to know about all that?

My gut tells me there’s something more to this. The question is: Should I try to find out even though my father already ordered me to leave it alone?

Then again, he was more concerned with Jodie not being involved, which she isn’t anymore.

Should I tell Dino to continue?

“Boss?”

“Do it,” I order him.

If there’s still a way for me to find out who killed Bart, then I want to know, even though it could be someone in the family. I can keep Jodie out of it, but I have to find out the truth.
