“Why the hell would he put his own daughter at risk?” I growl. “When he spent years hovering over her so that she stayed safe!”

“Because,” Dane snarls. “Tony has made it clear from the moment we told him that we were Willow’s scent matched alphas that he wanted us to have nothing to do with his daughter. To stay the hell away even if it fucking destroyed us to do so. He didn’t care. Don’t you think it’s a little bit odd how obsessed he’s been about Willow and not Wesley? How he didn’t care that Wesley went to Calling Wood, and started his life as an omega?”

“Maybe it’s because he’s a guy and Willow is a girl? Don’t fathers become more protective of their daughters?” Ledger asks.

“Yes. Sometimes. But Tony made sure Willow was under lock and key. He put up a big stink about her going to Calling Wood. And if it wasn’t for her mother stepping in and letting her go, under the assumption that the whole point of keeping Willow so sheltered after she became an omega was for her to go to Calling Wood safely, she might not have ever left the house.”

“What are you saying?” I ask Dane.

“I don’t know,” he growls. “Just that whatever is going on, it’s Tony. I know it.”

“Have you guys checked the Ring camera?” Ledger asks.

Dane’s eyes snap to Ledger. “Ring camera? What fucking Ring camera?”

Ledger’s brows furrow. “The one that Willow’s mom put in the other day. She called Willow up and told her about it. With them spending so much time away from the house, her mom wanted something to keep an eye on the house. Although, I do remember Willow saying Tony didn’t like the idea, so Willow’s mom did it without him knowing.”

“Fucking hell!” Dane spins around and bolts up the stairs. I look at Ledger and then we’re following after him.

“We need to get into their wifi,” Dane tells Chandler who’s typing away at his computer.

“What do you think I’m working on,” Chandler huffs.

“They have a camera doorbell,” Dane tells him. “They just got it the other day.”

Chandler’s eyes light up. “On it.”

Ledger and I sit on the couch in what looks like to be some sort of office. Only it’s pretty empty minus some books on the shelves and the desk Chandler is at.

Leaning forward, I put my face in my hands, trying to keep myself together for my girls.

A large warm hand rubs up and down my back. I should be there for him too. Normally I’m the level-headed one. I lean into his touch, feeding off his strength.

It feels like a lifetime of keyboards clicking and the sounds of our own breathing before Chandler finally gets something. “Got in!” he laughs. “And, I got access to all of Tony’s emails and the camera.”

We’re off our feet and leaning over his shoulder in an instant. Chandler clicks on something and a video pops up.

My heart starts to pound painfully in my chest when I see three alphas approach the house.

“Who the fuck are they?” Dane mutters, watching too.

The middle guy with blond hair leans in and rings the doorbell. There’s sound to the video because as they wait for someone to answer, they start to whisper to each other.

“She better fucking be here,” the blond one says.

My heart seizes in my chest when I hear her voice. “Hello?” Willow answers.

The blond’s eyes snap down to the side of the door, and a smile that has the hair on my arms standing takes over his face. “Hi. Are you Willow?”

“Who's asking?”

He chuckles. “I’m Jared Johnson, this is Kirk and Mark, my brothers. We’re the sons of your dad’s boss.”

Holy fucking shit. My eyes snap over to Dane’s. “Her dad’s boss is in on this?”

“Oh,” Willow says.

“We heard you were in town, and that your brother woke up. That's amazing news by the way. We wanted to stop by and see how you were doing. We brought a gift for him.”
