I really don’t have any idea what I’m going to do regarding them and it’s fucking with my emotions.

“Mornings are evil,” I mutter as Ledger and I walk, hand in hand, downtown.

“Someone’s cranky this morning,” Ledger chuckles.

“I like my sleep.” I shoot him a glare.

“I’m sorry.” He wraps an arm around my shoulder, kissing the top of my head. “I didn’t sleep well last night, and nothing in the bags full of food you girls brought home had coffee pods.”

“You’re lucky coffee is involved.” I’m being dramatic. I’m only up a half hour earlier than normal so we can do this coffee run before school starts but still, an omega needs her sleep. Loves it. Hell, I’d sleep all day, every day if I could.

“And time with me.” He smirks down at me.

When we got home last night, I made supper and then told the guys that we almost ran into Dane and Chandler. The look Ledger and Nash shot at each other told me they were not happy that they were still in town.

Me, I still don’t know what to think about it. Or why they’re still even here. Okay, maybe I know why. Dane is a stubborn man and I don’t think he’s going to give up on me without a fight, or at all.

Ledger goes to open the door to the coffee shop when someone on the other side does. “Sorry,” Ledger says, stepping back.

“You have got to be fucking kidding me,” I murmur, meaning to say that in my head.

Chandler’s eyes snap over to mine. “Willow,” he breathes.

“What the hell are you doing here?” Ledger snarls, stepping in front of me.

Chandler looks over at him and blinks. “Ah, getting coffee?” He holds up two cups.

“Not that, smart ass. What are you doing at Calling Wood.”

“Oh.” He clears his throat. “We… we live here now.”

“What?” My brows furrow. “Why?”

Chandler looks over at me. “Willow, sweetheart. You know why.”

“Don’t look at her,” Ledger growls.

Chandler shoots him a glare. “Look, buddy. She might be your omega, but she’s ours too. And while my dumbass mate has fucked up a few times, it doesn’t mean he’s a bad guy.” He looks over at me. “We’re not bad guys, Willow. Please, just give us a chance to prove it,” he pleads.

My head spins and I can’t think. I hate seeing him upset, the omega in me wants to make him feel better. God, this is all so damn confusing.

“I… I don’t know yet, Chandler. Just, give me time. Please?”

He lets out a heavy sigh. “Time.” He nods. “We can do that.”

“Come on, Willow. We need to get that coffee before you’re late for school,” Ledger mutters, pulling the door open for me. I don’t think he’s happy about me playing nice with Chandler, but I’m thankful he didn’t make a bigger deal over it.

It’s something we’re all going to have to learn to deal with, to get used to. It’s going to take time, but maybe, just maybe, this could work.

“See you around, Willow.” Chandler gives me a soft smile.

I nod and step inside the coffee shop.

We stand in line to order and I do it again, letting my eyes wander to Chandler, and watch him head across the street to a golf cart I didn’t see before.

Dane is sitting in the driver's seat, taking the coffee Chandler gives to him. Chandler says something and Dane’s eyes snap over in my direction. I know he can’t see me in here but it sure does feel like it.

Dammit. It looks like I’m going to have to deal with the whole Dane and Chandler thing sooner rather than later.
