“And I need it for camming. Using the hotspot every time would cost too much money for the amount of data I’d need. Who could we talk to about this?”

“The only other people I can think of would maybe be the IT and cybersecurity guys.”

My brows jump at her words. “Cybersecurity,” I whisper to myself.

“You guys keep trying to see if it’s something going on within the house, Willow and I will go to the dean and see if she can point us in the right direction of cybersecurity.”

We head down to the main office. “Hi, Kate. Is Dean Benson in?” Aubrey asks the receptionist.

“No.” Kate gives us a friendly smile. “She’s out for the afternoon. Is there anything I can help you with?”

“Yeah. We seem to be having some internet issues. We called the internet provider but he said the internet in Calling Wood is working just fine. So we’re here to see if maybe someone in the IT department could help us out.”

“Oh, that's so odd that only your internet isn’t working,” Kate says, brows furrowing. “But I can give you directions to their office. I’m sure they wouldn’t mind helping you out. They seem lovely enough.”

“Thank you so much, Kate,” Aubrey says.

“They are on the third floor, far east wing, room 304.”

“Thank you.” I give her a friendly smile and we leave.

“This is bullshit,” Aubrey mutters as we make our way up the steps. “Why the hell would just our house be down. It doesn’t make any sense. Room 304,” she says, and I blink out of my inner thoughts, coming to a sudden halt.

Aubrey knocks on the door. “Come in!” a voice shouts from the other side.

“Alright then,” Aubrey mutters and reaches for the handle.

“Wait!” I shout, reaching for her hand. My whole body flushes with nervousness at what's on the other side of that door. I recognized that voice, I’m sure of it.

“Are you okay?” Aubrey asks, brows furring in concern.

Snatching my hands back, I put them to my side. “Yeah, sorry.” I laugh weakly. I’m acting like a crazy person. “Sorry.”

“Come in!” the voice shouts again.

“Are you sure?” Aubrey asks.

I nod. “Let's go see why we have no internet.”

She gives me one last lingering look, not entirely convinced but opens the door anyway.

Aubrey pushes the door open and takes a step in. My eyes immediately look around the room. It’s dark in here, the only lights are from the monitors on the wall and desks.

“Hi,” Aubrey starts. “We were wondering if you could help us with….you have got to be fucking kidding me,” she huffs out a growl.

Stepping to the side, I look to see who's in here and curse. “For fuck sake,” I groan, my fear becoming a reality. I knew it. I fucking knew it was them. “Of course it’s you.” I sigh, running my hand up and down my arm in comfort as my nerves pick up again.

Seeing them, being this close to them, my omega instincts are to go over there and climb into their lap, to breathe in their scent, to rub myself all over them and claim them as mine.

Mine. Because fucking hell they are mine and I don’t want them to be.

“What the hell are you two doing here?” Aubrey demands.

“We work here.” Dane shoots her a frown.

“I can see that, asshole. But why the fuck do you work here?”

Dane’s eyes shift over to me. We stare at each other for a long moment. My hand instinctively goes to the bite mark on my neck as it tingles in his presence.
