Maybe he’ll be an okay alpha after all.

Now Willow and I are on the way back to the house and I am not looking forward to telling the guys about this.

The omega beside me is also awfully quiet so I’m sure she’s thinking the same thing. Bringing the cart to a stop, I reach over, grab her chin, and force her to look at me. “It’s gonna be okay, Capri. We’re gonna figure this out with you. Just always be honest with us and we’ll handle anything and everything you give us.”

She nestles her face against my hand, smiling. “I don’t know what I did to deserve you three, but I thank the stars every day that you’re mine.”

A melted puddle of goo, that's what I am right now as we continue on our way home. Why does she have to say the most perfect things? Things that make me want to cry, but also worship at the altar between her thighs.

“I can’t believe Dane gave in so easily on the camming.” She looks out at the scenery as we cruise in the cart back to the pack house.

“That surprised me too. From the way he acted that day at the omega compound gate, I expected him to not give in at all. But then again, I know how hard it is to tell your cute little ass no.”

“Let’s hope Ledger and Nash have that same thought when I tell them about the dinner I’m going to.”

Willow’s phone chimes and she pulls it out and stares at the screen with a raised brow.

“Who is it?” I ask.

“Dane,” she sighs. “How did he get my number?”

I can’t help it, I bark out a laugh and try hard to stay on the cart path as my eyes water from laughing so hard.

“What?!” Willow squeals.

“They shut our internet off and are now in charge of all IT for Calling Wood. I’m sure looking in your student file was a normal fucking Tuesday for them.” I wipe the tears from under my eyes, knowing I probably look like a raccoon now.

“Shit. I didn’t think about that. You’re probably right,” she laughs. “God, I’m an idiot.”

I growl before I can stop myself and slap a hand over my mouth because I’ve never done that before. “You’re not an idiot. This is all a lot.”

“Thanks.”

“What does he want?” I ask. Shit, we were just in their office and he got his dinner date so what could he possibly want or need now.

“He wants to make sure this Friday night is good for dinner. Says they’ll pick me up at seven. Dress code is casual.”

“That was fast.” I smile.

“Who tells someone the dress code when taking them on a date? That’s weird right?” she asks.

“Your scent matched with two silver foxes, babe. I think that’s probably normal for them. They seem well off so I’m sure they just wanted to make sure you knew it wasn’t some fancy five-star restaurant.”

“I guess.”

“Get used to it, Capri. You’ll be teaching them slang and showing them how to twerk in no time,” I tease her, giggling at poking at their age difference.

“Stop!” Willow laughs. “They’re not that old. And they’re still sexy as hell.”

“You got me there.” I shake my head, laughing with her. God, I love this girl so much. She makes everything fun and easy. We should send a thank you card to the tire company or whoever left something on the road that caused her tire to pop. Without that tire, Nash never would have come across her and been enticed to join the pack program.

We pull up to the house and I shut the cart off and look at Willow. “Well, here we go. I have your back no matter what. Even if that means I need to steal your cute little ass and get us a hotel room if they go all alpha on you.”

“Mmmm,” she moans. “Can we get a hotel just cause? I’d love to do some very naughty things to my beta in the jacuzzi and on the balcony.”

My panties are instantly soaked and I’m ready to cue up my travel app and book that shit now.

Instead, I swat Willow’s ass when she passes me on the sidewalk to our house. “Naughty girl.”
