“I love you too, Alpha. And I love that omega in there. If she’s happy, I’m happy. So, let’s go home and wait for her to come back.”

“Fine,” I pout, turning back into my seat.

I hate leaving her behind as we pull out of the parking lot and head back toward Calling Wood.

But she’s right. Willow needs to make her own choice. The moment she thinks we’re going to control her, we risk losing her forever.

Just because I have to accept these guys, doesn’t mean I’m going to make it easy on them. They need to know that Willow deserves the world, and they need to be willing to give it to her. If not, they don’t deserve her.

Chapter Thirty-One

WILLOW

A part of me hates to admit it, but I’m actually having a good time. When Dane isn’t an overbearing alpha, he’s actually pretty funny.

Watching Chandler and Dane’s banter, the way they flirt, smile, and talk to each other is both sweet and entertaining. You can tell they love each other.

Despite enjoying the date, I’ve been having trouble relaxing. My mind hasn’t shut off since the guys picked me up.

All I can think about is how Aubrey, Nash, and Ledger feel. I know they said they support me and whatever I choose, but I know it can’t be easy for them to share me.

I saw Nash and Ledger not too long after we got here. They tried to hide, but I saw them.

Guilt hit me hard because why else would they have followed me? I don’t think it's because they don’t trust me, more because they don’t trust the guys.

When I went to text them and ask what they were doing here, Nash texted me that he loved me and wished me a good time.

Whatever he needed to see by being here, I guess he saw and left.

I’ve come to learn a lot about Chandler and Dane. They met when they were twenty and have been together ever since. They always wanted an omega but never pushed it. Believing if it was meant to happen, it would.

Then Chandler told me that the reason they never took an omega in all the years they’ve been together was because the universe wasn’t ready to give them me yet.

It was sweet, but I also had to bite my tongue to point out that the universe wasn’t ready to give them me because I wasn’t even legal yet.

Yeah, this age gap thing is going to take some getting used to.

I mean, they’re not old old, but they are older. But God, they are also so damn fine. Chandler is so sweet it makes my belly flutter and Dane, his dominant vibe–when he’s not being a dick– has the omega in me purring with need.

I perked up when I realized we happen to have some things in common. I love older music, mostly 90’s, early 2000’s. And they happen to enjoy a lot of the same artists I do.

Movies are another thing. There was a good amount they mentioned that I loved, like Hook, the one with Robin Williams. That happens to be Dane’s favorite. And Chandler’s is Jurassic Park, another movie I love, too.

We all love Johnny Depp, Star Wars movies, Harry Potter and The Walking Dead. Honestly, the more we talk, the more I realize I enjoy being around them.

Something inside me started to settle, to click into place the more time went on.

I found myself genuinely laughing and smiling, a warm feeling building inside me. The more I allowed the scent match bond to settle in, the more I found myself craving them.

That is what scared me because I’m not ready to let them into my heart just yet. It’s only the first date.

Yes, I’ve had a thing for them for as long as I can remember, but it was just a crush. Two hot older guys who were kind to me, who I thought of in ways I shouldn’t have. They were taboo, off limits. But here I am now, with the same two men who I guess were meant to be mine.

“That was good,” I groan, wiping my mouth with the napkin as I lean back in my seat with a full belly.

Both men are looking at me with wonder in their eyes. My cheeks heat. “What?” I swear to god if they say something negative about the way I just scarfed down that steak, they will lose all points with me.

“Nothing.” Dane chuckles as he leans back in his seat, his eyes twinkling with something I’m not quite sure if it’s awe or amusement. “That was hot.”
