"And what a lovely house it is," Daisy chimed in…once again trying to diffuse the situation. "Dominic decided to pay you a visit after learning that Beck stopped by to increase security."

Sebastian glared at my brother. "And how the fuck do you know that?"

But my brother couldn't be intimidated. It was barely nine in the morning and here they were playing battle of the billionaires. I'd laugh about it if I weren't worried about my brother finding out about me and Sebastian.

Part of me wanted to scream it from the rooftops but the logical part of me wanted to keep it just between the two of us for now. Who knows what my brother would say, but I’d bet all his money that he'd blow a gasket and go all bossy brother on me.

It didn't matter how old I was, Dominic would always be a terror when it came to my dating life.

Dominic postured. "If it has to do with the safety of my sister, I know about it."

"Doubtful," Sebastian said under his breath.

"What was that?"

I stood, arms wide to keep them from escalating things further. "Simmer down. We're all on the same team here."

I glanced at Daisy. "You spilled the beans, huh?"

Daisy lifted a hand as if to defend herself, then shrugged. "I can't keep secrets from this man. Besides, I knew he would be worried and want to see you for himself."

I sighed dramatically. "We are going to have to work on this girl talk thing if you're going to be my sister-in-law one day."

Dominic and Daisy shared a look that sent a pang to my chest. God damn it. I wanted what they had. I wanted it desperately.

I felt that pang of loneliness after Mom died but this was a different loneliness I was experiencing. I hadn't realized how lonely I had been until Sebastian entered my life again. I snuck a glance at him, and he reached over and squeezed my thigh under the table.

"I've called my contacts. Nobody has reached out to any reporters letting them know your whereabouts," my brother said. He was all business.

Not to be outdone, Sebastian sat up in his seat. "I'll be alerted if any news pops up about Faith, including any social media chatter. I'm monitoring it all."

My head whipped toward him. "Is that true?"

He tilted his head as if to say, do you even need to ask?

This man made my chest flutter.

My brother frowned. "Do I need to be worried?"

Sebastian shook his head. "I have it handled. I'm offended you'd think otherwise."

"It's my sister."

"Trust me, I get it," Sebastian ground out.

Dominic's eyes darted back and forth some more. "Faith, why don't you take Daisy on a tour of this place?"

I shot Sebastian a panicked look. "No, thanks."

My brother's mouth gaped open.

"Let's all go on a tour," I suggested instead.

Daisy pressed her lips together. Her eyes wide. Clearly enjoying herself.

"Faith-" my brother chided.

"I'm your sister, not your pet. You don't get to tell me what to do."
