Army Ken made her the other woman. It was his thing. Get his rocks off and leave. He did it often enough that his pregnant wife tracked him to her house. She needed to purge him from her system. There were no more Ben Owen good times.

Angelina held her hand out to shake his. She was treated to his lips on the back of her hand as he grinned a devilishly charming smile.

“It is my pleasure to meet you,” Rocko purred.

“Was there something else?” Max grunted.

Angelina bit her lip to hide her shock.

“She yours?”

“She isn’t yours,” he shot back.

“Sweetness is on her own tonight. It will be her decision if she wants company,” Jake said firmly.

“If you would like to have a tour,” Rocko handed her his card. It was a simple black card with a phone number printed in silver on it.

“Thank you. I will keep that in mind.”

Rocko turned his attention to Jake. “I also wanted to warn you that your father’s production team has organized a protest here tonight. Something about debauchery, devil worship, and evil liquors. He has all the required permits. If what I hear is correct, they plan to televise live.”

“On what channel?” Max asked. “Who wants to watch that?”

“Probably the one he owns,” Jake let out an exasperated sigh. “Sorry to drag you all the way down here. We can go if you want.”

“Or you could use my private entrance,” Rocko offered.

“I like his plan,” Angelina nodded to Rocko.

“Do I get a dance for that plan?”

“One,” Max answered before she could. “Go hassle someone else.”

“He is such a charmer, Jake,” Rocko dryly replied. “Let me know when you are ready to leave.”

Max positioned himself in front of Jake and Angelina until Rocko was out of sight.

“Full disclosure, Rocko is odd like Reginald odd, with pockets just as deep. He has me on retainer, and it is a big one.”

“You should charge him more for being an asshole.”

“What kind of house does he have?” Angelina wondered out loud.

“There is our girl,” Jake hugged her. “Dance or drink?”

“Drink first, then dance,” she replied.

“Remember, she is a lightweight,” Max added before Jake signaled for another round.

Two fruity pink drinks with cute little umbrellas later, Angelina was shaking it on the dance floor. The buzz in her blood lowered her inhibitions but not enough to forget she was wearing a few sparkly hankies sewn together. Jake kept her within arm’s reach while Max watched from the VIP section. His scowling face must have been enough to warn off the other men. No one danced close and then pretended to be surprised when their hand connected with her ass or grazed the side of her boob. It was great and just what she needed. So what if Ben decided to pull a disappearing act after he made her the other woman? Angelina was lucky enough to have Jake and Max.

There were only so many fruity pink juices she could drink without a trip to the little girl’s room. The club was packed. As every woman on the planet knows, the line for the bathroom is long when you are out and about. Angelina wondered if Rocko had a private bathroom. She didn’t want to chance it if he was Reginald level of weird. It would be better to stand in line with her legs crossed for an hour than to have his attention directed toward her.

With a tug on Jake’s arm, Angelina pointed down the long hallway that led to the restrooms. Jake nodded, following closely behind her. As she suspected, the line was long. There were thirty or forty women in front of her. It may have been the booze clouding her brain, but the thought of a reservation system hit her. Similar to a restaurant pager that buzzes when it’s your turn in the stall. Genius.

“You don’t have to wait with me,” Angelina told Jake, mulling over the potty placeholder.

“If I could have a moment of your time.” Rocko appeared out of nowhere, ushering them from the line down the hall to a private door.
