“Sassy bitch?”

“That’s better,” Rose smiled.

“You are a strange one,” he laughed.

“Bunny, are you trying to get in my pants too?”

“Enough with the bullshit.”

He made a circular motion with his hand, and bikes roared to life around her. They fell into a line, ready to leave.

“Stay between the truck and the bus. You make a run for it; the first shot goes in your tire, and the second goes through his skull.”

“You are such a charmer, Bunny.”

“It’s Prez or Tank to you.”

“Mister President,” Rose said in her best Marilyn voice.

“You are going to be trouble, aren’t you?”

“I have no idea what you are talking about.”

“Don’t do it,” Lucas rasped.

“Too late,” Rose hissed. “Remember, this is the last time I save your ass. You get six months of rent paid. Make sure you get my boxes and your shit out of the house before tomorrow.”

“Rosey, I’m sorry.”

“I know you are. Just don’t knock anyone up while I’m gone.”

“Run, Rosey.”

“To where?” She challenged. “You should have thought about this before you got the bright idea to damage the property of a motorcycle club. Two hundred and fifty thousand dollars worth of damage, you idiot.”

“Don’t be a whore for them,” he pleaded.

“Lucas Adam Smart, are you calling me a whore?” Rose yelled.

“Use your head, Rosey. What else are you going to do? You haven’t had a job in years.”

“So, you are telling the woman who is saving you from them tossing your sorry hide in the dumpster that the only job I am qualified for is a whore? Bunny,” Rose whipped around to face the mammoth. “I bite. A lot. Do you think it would be wise to use me as a whore?”

“Rosey, I have no idea how I will keep you under control until the debt is worked off.”

“Was that a yes or no?”

“Any man brave enough to put his dick in your face deserves what he gets. I need a bar bitch and a cook that doesn’t lick a muff when she is supposed to make dinner.”

“See,” Rose turned back to her brother. “I’m the new bar bitch.”

“Not into muff?”

“Sorry, Bunny. Never was my thing.”

“Rosey.”

“Lucas, it is done. If anyone is to blame, it is you. Go home. Change your life. Make better choices. Answer the phone. Got it?”
