“So, I can have him and the house?” Tanya beamed.

“Yes, to the relocation. No, to Tank.”

“Oh,” she pouted.

Rose looked at the oblivious woman in the cage and then at the men staring at her in disbelief.

“What?”

“Is this a language you speak?” Vulture asked.

“I can translate Tanya to English,” she nodded.

“Why does she think my old man is dying?”

“It might have been something I said.”

“Thorn, it is always something you said.”

“Not nice, Bunny,” Rose frowned. “Tanya, who was the guy Birdy shot?”

“I don’t know his name.”

Warren surged toward the cage, but Rose was quicker. She wedged herself between the door and her husband. When his arms banded around her, she wiggled her ass to get his full attention.

“Petal, don’t think I wouldn’t redden your ass,” he whispered as his teeth grazed her neck.

“Promises, promises,” she gasped.

Rose ignored Tank’s chuckle and Franny’s giggle.

“Back to business. What do you know about the guy?”

“He was part of the crew. Roach told me to wait in the kitchen to help the guy with the oven after Roach got him inside. I got tired of waiting, so I went to see what the other girls were doing. Who knew it took so long to mess up an oven?”

Rose’s jaw dropped. Tanya almost died and had no idea.

“Did Roach say when he was getting you that new house?” Brooks asked out of curiosity.

Rose saw the look of disbelief on each of the men surrounding her. Tanya may not have been the smartest hoe-leader, but Rose was willing to bet she was the luckiest. Roach intended for her to be a causality of the blast. He was tying up loose ends before the grand finale. Her impatience and inability to follow directions were the reasons Tanya was alive.

“No,” she frowned, thinking back. “He just said when it was all over.”

“It’s a good thing she swallows kids instead of reproducing,” Franny mumbled.

“Were there any other people involved?” Tank asked.

“Roach said too many would get noticed.”

“No one else in the club knew what was happening?” He asked again.

Tanya shook her head.

“What happens to her?” Rose whispered.

“Not our decision. Tank is in charge. His free P. His problem. It’s time for us to go home and let them get back to business as usual.”

“Bunny?”
