I watch in awe as Crew’s mouth partially shifts and his canines descend. When he buries his face in my throat and grazes my skin with his sharp teeth, I explode. I scream his name as the walls of my pussy clamp down on his hard length, my body begging him for every bit of his cum.

His panting breaths against my skin only prolong my pleasure and make me shudder underneath him. His thrusts get harder and faster as he chases his own release.

Once.

Twice.

Three times.

The fourth time he fills me, he chuffs my name out softly, but it’s as loud as a roar with how much emotion is laced within it. The warm ropes of his cum filling me has aftershocks rolling through my body as I cling to my mate.

My mate.

The one put on this earth for me and me alone.

I’ve never had someone to rely on. Even though it’s scary, the idea of being able to rely on my mate, and maybe my pack, is something I can’t ignore.

But can I give up everything I’ve been building to be his Luna? Do I even have to?

As we bask in the feeling of being together, I push those questions away. I don’t need all the answers right now.

Crew lets out a breath that is filled with relief and I turn toward him from where he has me snuggled into his side. I look at him, really look at him, and it becomes clear that the distance between us has affected him as well.

There are bags under his eyes and his skin looks a little pale. “Crew,” I whisper. His eyes find mine and there’s so much relief there that it takes my breath away. “Are you okay?”

His arms tighten around me, making me feel secure right where I am. “I’m much better now. I was missing you and my wolf was driving me crazy. But before I could come to you, I needed to take care of something with my pack.”

I smooth my fingers over his eyebrows, “You mentioned that earlier. What did you need to take care of? You said there was a traitor?”

He nods slowly and licks his lips before letting out a harsh breath. “The rogues?” I nod slowly, fear spiking inside of me for a moment before I remember how fierce my mate was when he charged into the fray. “They tried to attack you and they were there because one of our pack members paid them to come onto our territory and try to kill you.”

My eyes widen and my body jerks in his hold. Crew’s large hand smooths down my back and I relax back into him. I mull over the situation and instantly know who the culprit was. “Trina,” I growl, anger filling me at her fucking audacity.

“I outed her in front of the pack after I told everyone who you are to me and to the entire pack. Everyone was thrilled to learn that you are the pack’s true Luna,” he lets me know with a soft smile on her lips.

“They were?”

Crew chuckles softly as his smile grows. “You have no idea how many members of our pack that you touched and made an impression on, within only a matter of days. They accepted you before knowing you’re their Luna because that is just who you are.”

Tears fill my eyes and I try to blink them away, but some of them fall. Crew gently wipes them away with the pad of his thumb, sending those tingles cascading through my body.

“What happened with Trina?”

“She’s dead,” his voice is neutral while he eyes me warily.

If he’s worried about my reaction, he doesn’t need to be. I might not know everything about packs, but I do understand that they operate within a slightly different set of rules than human society. If Crew felt that was what needed to happen to someone who betrayed the pack, then I have no doubt he acted as he should, as an Alpha should.

“Okay,” I mumble before snuggling into his chest.

He laughs and presses a kiss to the crown of my head. “I’d really like you to think about coming back with me,” his voice is soft and coaxing. “I need to be there and as the pack’s Luna, you need to be there too.”

“I don’t know,” I hedge. “I still have a little bit of school left,” I remind him.

“Just think about it,” he urges gently. “I know it’s asking a lot of you but think of all you’ll gain as the Luna of Golden Summit. And my body is only one of the things you’d gain.”

I giggle and with my mate holding me and the pain of the last 24 hours gone, exhaustion consumes me. I know I’m safe to fall asleep. Crew will protect me.

“The Goddess doesn’t make mistakes,” Crew murmurs softly right before I drift off to sleep.
